This is a partnered guest post with Fresh Flowers Valentine’s Day is approaching and I have a few things on my wish list. Hopefully my significant other will be reading this, but if he isn’t then perhaps I will have to drop a few hints. Here are a few of the treats that I would […]

Like his big brother There’s an Angry Bird in there Playing hide and seek (but scared of the dark) I finally went shoe shopping Far and near Peekaboo! My favorite house warming gift

They’re both adorable! 🙂
-
I love your plaque – we have a plaque with the same Bible Verse and our family name on it too 🙂
-
Adorable photos!
-
I love these shots! Your boys are adorable.
-
Beautiful shots! Your boys are just the cutest and you have such a classy elegant touch to your overall style.
-
I love that robot blanket! And my son would love hiding under it – we play a quick game of hide and seek before bed every night, and he always loves to hide under the blanket hanging over the edge of his crib.
-
so adorable. Your boys are getting so big and they are absolutly the cutest
-
Beautiful pictures! I love those peek a boo ones!
-
I love your photos – you always do such a great job.
-
I have shoes almost just like that. You have good taste! 😉
-
These pictures are so beautiful and clear!
-
Love the shoes, and of course those two cuties!
-
So jealous of your skills! I need to make time to learn!! Your son is so adorable! My daughter is pregnant early on and am so excited to be a grandma!!

They are adorable. And cute shoes too!

I love your pics! Your boy is adorable! And I love your shoes!rr
-
Great photos! I love the light in all of them – so pretty!
-
The strappy shoes are AWESOME!
And, gosh, your little guy always looks so happy!
-
Your pictures are amazing! If you don’t mind me asking, what type of camera do you use? I’m looking for a new one (as my current one suck), so any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, your little boys are super cute!
-
You take such amazing photos and they are adorable.
-
You already know I think the boys are adorable, so congrats on your new shoes!
-
Beautiful boys and YEY for shoe shopping!
-
My absolute favorite picture is the first one with the focus on your son’s feet. It’s so cute. I like your new shoes too.
-
Thanks 🙂 I use a dSLR (it’s called the d700 but it’s an old, discontinued model). There are lots of great cameras out there, but I like a camera that lets you change the focus point easily, and lets you shoot in manual so you can play around with the aperture (to get those blurry backgrounds- I love those!)…any dSLR will do that for you 🙂
-
Your boys are just so cute!

My friend Karen is the creator of FabGranda, and she has been happily married for many years to one great dude. I always love hearing her talk about her husband and their marriage, so I asked her to share a bit for us, now that Valentine’s Day is coming up. How did you meet? Karen: […]
-
What a touching story. If only I could have a tale like this one day.
-
Such a sweet story, that shows love can be found even after a few disasters.
-
I love Karen and this was a great idea, Penelope!
-
Ah that’s so sweet 🙂 I think when one has been through a couple of bad relationships when they find themselves in a good one, they have plenty of advice to share and for others to heed!
-
What a beautiful love story and loved Karen’s advice at the end.
-
What a great story? Is someone cutting onions in here? 🙂
-
i wish I can get hubby to celebrate the little things. we don’t even buy eachother Christmas gifts anymore or valentines. Its sad really.
-
What a sweet love story. Wishing them a lifetime of happiness.
-
This is so incredibly sweet!! <3 Karen! Thanks for sharing!
-
That is such a lovely love story! 🙂
-
There’s nothing like a good love story! Karen’s love story is so touching! May they have another 22 wonderful years together.
-
Oh my! That is such a wonderful story. So happy that Karen found her gem and that he keeps her happy. It’s not easy finding someone after you’ve been married before. Your perception of marriage is skewed a bit. I bet he’s glad she took the first step!
-
How sweet! Love after a certain age or years married is an awesome experience!
-
Awww. And it all started with a lawnmower. Thanks for the words of wisdom too!
-
What a beautiful and touching story! Thanks for sharing!
-
How sweet, love a good love story!
-
I definitely agree about not forcing it. I’m so glad you found such a great love, Karen!
-
What a sweet story! Thank goodness you passed along your number! 🙂
-
I love this, Karen! So glad you found each other!
-
I thought I recognized her picture! True love over a lawn mower bolt! She gives great advice!
-
Such a sweet story. I always love to hear stories of how people met when they are random like it was with Karen and her husband!
-
Ah, I loved reading your love story, Karen! I met my husband in Feb. 1991 and we’ve been pretty much inseparable ever since. 🙂
-
Awww…. Such a sweet love story. I’ve not been as lucky in love. Your story gives me hope. Maybe there is someone out there for me.
-
I love reading about how people met! Such a sweet love story, Karen.

This post brought to you by Treat.com. All opinions are 100% mine. Receiving a greeting card in the mail is always a treat. It makes you realize someone was thinking of you, so I always try to send cards to people I love during the holidays. A personalized card would be even more special, something […]
-
What a great idea and a personalized card is so thoughtful. I know grandparents would much prefer a photo of their grandkids.
-
I haven’t given anyone a card for ages, but I definitely check this out since my anniversary is coming up soon.
-
What a great way to send a thoughtful gift to your loved one.
-
I definitely need to try this out! And it might help me with my other mail challenge – keeping track of everyone’s addresses. 🙂
-
Sending Valentines to loved ones is a great idea. They are so cute too.
-
I am usually really bad at sending cards {so I love that they keep track of dates!} so this year my goal is to be more on top of it. I want to make some of these cards, I love the idea of sending personalized ones!
-
These are so much nicer than picking up a generic greeting card at the store. I would love to send one of these to friends and family.
-
what a beautiful way to personalize a special card for a special someone
-
This is awesome. It’s so frustrating to want to send a card and not be able to find anything that really works. Personalized is so much better!
-
I just used Treat last week to make a card. I love making personalized cards.
-
I love treat. They have the best cards!
-
I love getting cards and letters via snail mail. It doesn’t happen often enough anymore.
-
I’m making mine tomorrow 🙂
-
Great deal! I use Treat to send a lot of holiday/special occasion cards!
-
Those are adorable! Of course, it would be hard not to have a cute card with such an adorable subject!
-
I really like how they mail them for you!
-
I always enjoy sending out personalized cards. I think it can mean so much to someone that the card was made specifically for them!!
-
Hubby and I were just discussing making personal greeting cards for family events, love this.
-
I love that you can change the text on most everything there. This would be really fun to put together. I love the idea!
-
This is such a good idea and I love the fact that they keep track of the dates for you!
-
These cards are adorable! I can’t wait to create some for my family! 🙂
-
I absolutely love Treat! They get me through all the special holidays!
-
What a great help for scatterbrained moms like me! I can never remember birthdays, much less get a card in the mail in time.
-
Besides my husband and son, I’d do one for my brother who is not well.
-
I actually have a ton of cards to get out, mostly thank you notes. What a great service! I love that it prints a physical, sends it, and reminds you about future cards to make!
-
$6 for three cards + mailed for me?! That is crazy good. I hate going to the store and pouring over the selection of cards. Some are good and some are duds. I like them to be more personalized.
-
I would love to send my husband a surprise card at work, as well as my BFF in Texas! The fact they can be personalized is even better.
-
We don’t usually buy a lot of cards. We make homemade.
-
I love that you can use photos on these cards! I love getting cards that someone took the time to make and personalize for me. I’ll be checking out treat.com to make some Valentine’s Day cards. Thanks!
-
I haven’t purchased a card in so long. I really need to start buying them again!
-
I need to head over. I love making cards at Treat. Making personalized cards is the way to go these days!
-
I have not heard about Treat. Looks like they have really great cards. I love how you can design them!
-
I love that you can add a gift card. Talk about a one stop shop.
-
I love personalized cards! So much love and thoughts goes into them.

Everyone had off this year to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr, and we decided to spend the day as a family visiting the Cradle of Aviation Museum and Education Center in Garden City, NY. Known as Long Island’s Air and Space Museum, we had a great time learning about air travel, the history of our […]
-
That looks like a nice place to visit. It brings back memories of visiting the Deutsches Museum in Munich.
-
As always, great pictures! My kids would love it there, and the admission prices are very reasonable!
-
What a fun museum for kids, especially those who love aviation.
-
Wow, that place has a ton of interesting exhibits. I’m glad to hear they even had a section for littles one to enjoy!
-
How neat! I love the planes!
-
This is like a boys dream museum
-
Oh, this looks like a fun place to visit! I wish there was a museum like ~this~ in my area.
-
How fun! My toddler son would absolutely LOVE it here. He’s obsessed with all things transportation and would really have a ball at this museum. We’ll have to get there sometime.
-
Looks like an awesome place to take the whole family!
-
This would be right up my husband’s alley. He loves museums like this. We recently were in San Antonio and we went to the Pacific War Museum, we spent hours in there!
-
Wow that looks like a fun place to go and spend the day! I wish we had something like that near us!!!
-
Our boys would LOVE visiting this museum…if we ever travel through NY, I’ll have to remember it.
-
This is exactly the kind of afternoon my son would really enjoy.
-
Looks like such a fun place to visit.
-
That looks like the perfect kind of place for my boys. How cool! I am going to the Kennedy Space Center this week, can’t wait to see what it is like.
-
My husband and son would LOVE that! My husband’s dad is a pilot for an airline so the whole family is big on flying &always has been.
-
This looks like a little boys dream a great place to learn and explore.
-
What a fun museum, especially for little boys. My mom grew up in Long Island and it has been far too long since our last visit.
-
Oh — what a FUN place for little boys!
ps. You are such a beautiful family.
-
I guess it is true that space exploration has been set aside for the most part. I’m glad so much history is in places like this for us to enjoy.
-
A few weeks back, we headed to our local aviation museum. The kids really enjoyed it. Zoe loved the flight simulator! Looks like a fun filled day.
-
I know my son would love to visit the museum. We live near Oak Ridge Museum of Science and Energy and my son could hang out there all day. Looks like a great experience for your family!
-
I love visiting museums. There is alawys so much to learn!
-
Looks like a really fun place to go visit! I wish we lived near it!
-
It looks like such a neat museum. I bet the little guys just loved it.

Mmm… spa day. I need to put that on my wish list for my husband. It’s been months since I’ve had anything even approaching pampering!
I have to say that I would love all four of the above items!!
Of this list I would so go for the spa day. I always buy my own books and I would prefer a nice brought in meal than home cooked, but all good choices.
That list is pretty similar to mine! We don’t really do gifts for Valentine’s Day but those are some things I would really enjoy.
I would love a new book, my hubby sometimes surprises me with new books and I am thrilled!
Oooh, I’d love a spa certificate as well! A little R&R is always the best gift!
These gift ideas all sound absolutely perfect to me! We will be enjoying a steak dinner at home after the kids are in bed tonight to celebrate early since this is hubs’ day off.
I would love a spa day. I need one bad. Sadly I’ll probably get a sweater instead.
They all sound nice, but I already have more than enough books I haven’t read yet, so I’d skip that one.
I could sure use a spa day and some flowers would be nice too!
I know, I feel the same way…not very romantic either, I’d like that from a friend 🙂
Ooh, it’s been ages since I’ve had a spa day!
The home cooked meal sounds wonderful, if it’s someone who knows how to make more than popcorn. 🙂
Oooh I would have loved a spa certificate too. After my first massage earlier this month, I can’t wait to go back for another.
Now this is a Valentine’s wish list… I would like a home cooked meal as well.
I hope your Valentine’s Day was fabulous …. we spent ours camping. 🙂
I actually got a new book for Valentine’s day and fresh flowers. Two of the best presents. Hope you had wonderful Valentine’s day!
I’d love a clean house, that I didn’t have to clean. It didn’t happen this year, but I’m crossing my fingers for next year LOL!
This year we’ve spent so much money fixing up our home that I was content with not having an actual gift. My husband did figure out how to use the gas fireplace (we didn’t actually know it was gas until last week!) working, so that was a treat LOL!
I got lavender roses 🙂 I kinda love ’em and so hubby always looks for them. We don’t have anyone to watch our boys so he also stopped by a restaurant I loved to pick up dinner for us…what can you do, lol, I have three Valentines <3
That sounds fun! I spent mine with my three menz <3
My husband got me a jacket he knew I’d been wanting. I love #1 the best from your list. 🙂
