Six Months Pregnant

I don’t really post about my life much (because how interesting can the details of my days be to others?) but a once a month seems like an ok interval to indulge a post in chatting about myself. I’m officially six months pregnant, and have the watermelon belly to prove it: Today I’ll be taking […]

Shout Free Stain Remover Review And Giveaway

In my house, hubby does the laundry. The reason for this is because our laundromat is located outside our home, in a remote basement of our condo complex, and my husband (a police officer) doesn’t want to send me alone to an isolated room to do our family laundry. That is good, because the idea […]

  • Heather!

I do all the laundry in this house! I don’t mind it at all, though, because of all the household chores, laundry is probably the one I mind the least. The ONLY thing I really hate about it is putting the clean folded clothes away! That *should* be the easy part, but I just hate it, so our clothes sometimes sit, neatly folded, in a laundry basket for a week or more before I finally force myself to do it!

  • Zippy Sandler

My hair is so short…but, I do a blast of cold from the blowdryer to give it a shinier look. Thanks for the other ideas.

  • nicole @WriteSpell

very true! Argon oil also works wonders!

I use baby powder at least once a week, to make my shampoo last one extra day. I’ve been so busy for the past 2 months that it’s difficult to find the time to wash it. Sad, but true. But the powder really works!

  • April Decheine

Aaw that is a pretty quote.. So true too!

  • Jenn @therebelchick

I don’t think men should only do that if they consider us “ladies.” But I really think that the more opportunities we give men to act chivalrous, the more likely they are to behave that way. If you don’t give the special guy in your life the chance to open the door for you, he probably won’t!

  • Karen

    Wouldn’t that be nice.

  • Courtney

    Beautiful!

  • Kelly @ Texas Type A Mom

I totally agree! If you go around like you don’t need a man in your life and don’t appreciate the chivalrous things he does for you, he’s probably going to stop even bothering.

  • Anne - Mommy Has to Work

    So true!

  • Agreed — men like to have a purpose … to be needed .. to feel like they can help us. There is nothing wrong in that — it is how they are wired. Acting like a lady gives them someone to “protect” and care for …

I catch myself rushing to open doors, then realize that I am robbing my husband of the opportunity to be a gentleman and to model being a gentleman for our son. I have to remember to slow down.

  • Zippy Sandler

    Standing up and applauding.

  • Marcie W.

I adore this!! SO very true πŸ™‚

  • Donna

I never get the chance to open the door for myself anyway if my hubby is around. He has always been a gentleman. Although I don’t mind opening my own door from time to time, he calls me his “Lady”, and says I should be treated as such. πŸ™‚
