I Heart Nap Time

A gentleman once told me that God made babies so adorable because they could be so gosh darned annoying at times. He gave them chubby hands and long eyelashes and sweet cheeks so that when they keep us up all night or cry endlessly for no reason, we’d tolerate it because they are so irresistible. […]

  • Whoever told you that was a wise man. Even when my daughter pushes every button I have during her waking hours, once she’s asleep she’s just so peaceful that everything is right with the world.

  • Positively angelic!

  • Donna

He’s so angelic! And look at those lashes!

  • Mellisa

    Just precious!

  • What a sweet photo. Gavyn will be 11 this year and still looks like a toddler when he sleeps. I could stare at him for hours!

  • Tammy

AGREED! Even when they are teenagers the same sentiment applies 🙂

  • Heather!

Oh, those lashes! Ah, those lips! ♥

  • What an awesome photo. Sleeping babies are just precious.

  • Such a beautiful photograph, Penelope!! And I love your cute little watermark!

  • He’s so cute! &I have WAY too many photos of my son sleeping for the same reason. I don’t get how the little boy who literally runs in circles around our kitchen for hours can turn into the peaceful cherub at night.

  • Penelope

Children are Dr Jekyl and Mr Hydes, lol 🙂

  • I love when my “babes” are asleep. Lochlan has been crawling in bed with us lately, not sure why. But when I wake up in the morning and see him with his eyes closed and long lashes … its just so sweet.

  • so incredibly sweet. I love nap time too but when I see them sleeping so angelic like this it makes me want to wake them up to play… then I regret it, lol.

We Just Moved In- Where Did All This Clutter Come From?

This post brought to you by Rubbermaid® All AccessTM storage containers. All opinions are 100% mine. One of the most challenging aspects of moving is trying to stay organized as you move your entire life from one place to another. I was convinced once we were moved into our new home, that everything would just […]

It’s rather easy for me to get organized. The problem is for me to “stay” organized. So I feel your pain. 🙂

  • As hard as I try, I can never stay on top of organization. I love these totes and the stylish colors they come in!

  • I completely understand! I try my best to stay organized, but it doesn’t always happen.

  • A drop down door? I heart Rubbermaid!

  • Jenn

These look really handy. We love Rubbermaid!

  • Mellisa

I need all the help I can get when it comes to getting organized.

  • I’ve begun a war against clutter since the beginning of the year. I luv Rubbermaid!

  • Wow! those look awesome! Now if I could only maintain the mess!

  • Isn’t it amazing how much stuff you own? I love the teal color storage containers.

  • These look great!

  • I honestly and baffled by the amount of clutter that can pile up in such a short amount of time in my house. I don’t know where it comes from.

  • I like the turquoise ones.

  • Tammy

I’ll have to look for these once we’ve moved into our new home. Love that door that pulls down in front, how ingenious is that?!

  • I crave organization, though it does not show at my house. I need to get some of those Rubbermaid organizers.

Every Week, We Have Sunday Night Dinner As A Family

My family has changed over the years. I grew up in a house with siblings, and a neighborhood with many cousins, but over the years we grew up, got married, had children, changed jobs and zip codes, and grew apart from some people while creating new relationships with others. The one constant in all this […]

  • Sounds like a great tradition!

  • We love sunday night dinners at our house as well.

  • Tammy

I love that! We don’t live near any family any more – but when we did, we had weekly dinner gatherings as well. I miss them.

  • Sunday was family day for us too, but only as a four. To see my extended family every week would be too much even as much as I love them.

  • I’m starting to plan Sunday dinners with my family. We did Wednesday dinners with my dad’s side of the family growing up and I want to continue the tradition!

  • We almost ALWAYS eat dinner together. It’s a great time to sit down and just talk.

  • Jenn

Lovely tradition! My parents live an hour away be we could still do this once per month at least.

  • I completely agree with the thought process that the family that does ANYTHING together stays together.

  • We do the same thing! It’s so important to know your roots and always go back home. It’s good for the kids too 🙂

  • We try and do family night too!

  • I totally agree – just being together as a family and making that a priority will make your family stronger!

  • Stacey B

We still have Sunday night dinner with my parents … It is a great tradition to pass on

  • we used to do that when my grandma was alive makes me sad that it ended there

  • What a great tradition!
