Letters To My Son {May 2013} – Party Animal

To our growing little man, Well, you may be over three, but there are still a lot of firsts! What a funny month we shared together πŸ™‚ Seeing you pronounce “It’s not fair!” for the first time with folded arms and a pout melted my heart. Where did you learn that?? Being tagged by you, […]

  • My son’s three too & it seems like every day he’s saying something that I can’t figure out where he learned it. He’s yet to use “It’s not fair” though- I am just picturing your son saying it & it’s hilarious!

  • nicole @nicky_olea

awwww. love the undies over pull-ups. I’ve done that too.!]

  • He’ll appreciate all of these when he gets older

  • He melts my heart!! Oh my gosh. It’s so fun to watch them learn new phrases and just interact with you and the world. Some of the things that comes out of Hunter’s mouth amazes me, like where the heck did you learn that. (In a good way.)

  • Donna

I just love your photos! You got a smart one there… he knew “logically” what you said didn’t make sense. And his questioning it was his little brain working it out. Love it!

  • It goes to fast. My son is obsessed with saying No right now. Sigh.

  • Such beautiful pictures! I love that you capture all these precious moments.

  • Fabulous pics.

  • He is sooooooo adorable! What a cute little guy you have there! He sounds like a little smarty pants πŸ™‚

  • So sweet … and he looks so much like your husband.

  • LOVE the pictures.

  • Kids change fast and you’ll continually say, “Where’d they get that from?” when you see new expressions and moods. I love how you’re treasuring each moment!

  • Mellisa

I am really thinking about getting a special book for each of my kids were I write special notes to them, This would be really special when they are older and I am gone.

  • Looks like he had fun. Love that bottom one.

  • Jenn

These letters are just so cute! I love that you told him to wear underwear over his pull-up to get him to go to sleep LOL!

  • Awww. I remember these days. Now, as my boys become pre-teens and gasp, one becomes a teen this year, the sweet innocence is less and less, but every once in a while I still get to glimpse the little boy full of wonder underneath.

  • I love that you do this. Your pictures are awesome too.

  • Your photos look amazing!

  • Such a sweet post!

  • Aww.. your son’s so cute! I love it when kids are at this stage. It’s a double-edged sword sometimes, I don’t mind it so long as the questions stay cute. LOL They’re so adorable to look at, asking all sorts of questions, and then questioning our answers. πŸ˜€

  • Now you need a family goat πŸ˜›

  • Super cute.

  • What a handsome little guy! πŸ™‚

  • Jennifer @ The Quirky Momma

Such cool photos! What a cute little boy!

  • Beautiful photos, and kids have a way of melting our heart often don’t they? That is when it is great to me a mom!

  • Those are beautiful photos!

  • So sweet – your little guy is too cute!

  • What a cutie!

  • Both of your boys are so precious! This is such a sweet letter to your oldest.

  • This letter is priceless!

  • Tammy

He is so handsome πŸ™‚ Isn’t it amazing what those little ones soak up “That’s Not Fair” …you’re going to hear that A LOT in the coming years!

  • It’s fun to see how his little mind is whirring and processing and figuring things out now!

  • Such a sweet post. Boy how time flies.

  • How sweet! Love the black and white photos.

  • Underwear over the Pull-up. That made me smile. Sounds like something Sweet T would insist on.

  • Aww what a great letter. Love the things kids say and do. They melt my heart.

  • What a cutie!

A Day At CitiField – Mets Vs Phillies {Wordless Wednesday}

Well, the Mets didn’t win last Sunday in the game against the Phillies, but we had a great time at CitiField anyway.

View full post Β»

  • Much of the fun of the game is the food and the experience. Glad you still had a nice family outing!

  • So cool!

  • I have actually never gone to a ball game.

  • That food looks better than peanuts and Cracker Jacks! πŸ˜‰

  • Mellisa

This looks like so much fun!

  • Win or lose, what a fun family experience!

  • I am glad you had such a fun day!

  • How fun, love your photos.

  • What a fun day! Love baseball!

  • Looks like an amazing time! I have always wanted to take the boys to a ballgame.

  • Fun! I can’t remember the last time I went to a ball game.

  • How fun! We took our kids to their first baseball game today … they LOVED it.

  • Love the little ice cream hat!

  • I love the ice cream hat, we have those at our ballpark (but unfortunately not the Mets LOL). Weird thing all week I’ve visited your blog and it was never updated but then this weekend I saw all these posts. For some reason on my laptop it would not update so I had to clear my Cache to see you had new posts.

  • Donna

Love baseball games… and we enjoy the food and experience as much if not more than the game, itself. πŸ™‚

  • nicole @nicky_olea

    I love baseball!!! Great pictures!!!

  • This looks like a great time!

Our Watch Dog- The Samsung Wi-Fi Video Baby Monitor

Everytime I hear about a parent catching a nanny or trusted person being not so loving with their child, one of the first things I think is “Thank goodness they had a video”. It’s amazing what options we have with today’s technology, and how far things have come. Baby monitors are something I’m not sure […]

  • Baby Monitor!!! I always wanted a video baby monitor for the kids. I still want to pick one up

  • When my children were smaller, we did use baby monitors. Now we don’t but they really did come in handy.

  • Donna

    I didn’t use a monitor for my son. I’m not sure why… but I didn’t. πŸ™‚

  • I wish they had this option when my kids were young. I would have had one in each of their rooms. Heck, I’m still tempted!

  • I didn’t know Samsung had baby monitors, but I bet it is nice since that’s a good brand. Right now, I don’t use a baby monitor.

  • My friends has been looking for one of these, I’ll be sure to tell her about it. Thanks!

  • Wish I would have had one of these!

  • We love our baby monitor, but this one looks so much more advanced!

  • The baby monitors have came a long way since I had my first child. They are a great way to feel more relaxed when your baby isn’t right next to you.

  • Now that we live in a bigger house than I’m accustomed to, I definitely want to get a video baby monitor before our 3rd one arrives.

  • We just got a wi-fi monitor & it’s amazing how things have changed since old school ones!

  • This sounds like such an awesome monitor!

  • Mellisa

I never had a video monitor when my kids were babies. It would have been helpful!

  • I think this will give many parents some peace of mind when leaving their kids in the care of a nanny

  • I had a regular baby monitor for Noah. I think the video ones are cool though.

  • Heck I could use one of these for my 5 year old, never mind a baby. She really is good 99% of the time…it’s just that 1%….

  • I just had the sound monitors I wish I had a video one, they seem really great.

  • Oh this one sounds great. I did use baby monitors with both my children but they were just basic cheap ones you carry along with you. Nothing fancy like a wifi one.

  • Tammy

There were no such thing as video monitors when our daughter was an infant, but because we had a home with three levels we did have a sound monitor in her room. It often interfered with our cordless phone though, which could be funny!

Time To Dig In And Start Growing My Salad Garden!

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of The Home Depot. I have lots of DIY home projects planned for our new home. As I recently shared, one that I’m really excited about is to finally be able to grow my own organic salad greens at home, because I utterly love salads. […]

This is exactly the type of product I’ve been looking for to create a little garden. I’m going to check online see if I can purchase one and have it shipped to me. *fingers crossed**

  • I just bought one of those planters last week at Home Depot. I really want a garden in my backyard, but it is not feasible because of my dogs. I put my planter on my front porch and cannot wait to see how well my veggies grow.

  • Gardening is so therapeutic. I hope you harvest bunches this year.

  • I had hoped to make it to The Home Depot over the weekend but didn’t have time. I am so ready to get started on my patio garden this year.

  • Jennifer @ The Quirky Momma

I can’t wait to plant my raised garden beds this spring!

  • Donna

This is exactly what I need. I’ll be making a trip to Home Depot this weekend!

  • This sounds great. πŸ™‚

  • All I planted in the veggie garden this year so far is carrot seeds, but I have been harvesting arugula for the past few weeks from last years plantings. Good luck with you garden πŸ™‚

  • Thanks for the recommendation! I will be on the lookout for this stuff next time I go to Home Depot! I can’t wait to start my garden

  • I can’t wait to see how it turns out!

  • Ooooo, you know what? That’s the kind of garden I could handle. I should totally do that and I really, really want to grow my own herbs!

  • Tammy

I can’t wait until I live in a climate where I can be growing things in March/April – we had snow here this morning again…sigh…

  • I’m planning on doing a raised bed type garden as I’m pretty sure the previous homeone sprayed the living daylights out of our lawn. I can’t wait to see how your garden grows.

  • I never thought to do a water tube like this.

  • I wish I could garden.

Moms Like Me Love Mombo {Giveaway}

This post brought to you by Comfort and Harmony. All opinions are 100% mine. I’m a nursing mom, so I know how difficult breastfeeding can be for a first time mom, and also how rewarding. Anything that makes this worthwhile endeavor easier is fabulous, so I loved discovering the Mombo nursing pillow. The Mombo is […]

  • Breastfeeding was one of the best things I did for my babies. No regrets!

  • I love the vibrating feature of it. That’s awesome

  • The vibrating feature is intriguing – I’ve never seen anything like that before!

  • I have not heard of this nursing pillow before. Looks really soft.

  • shannon Baas

It would be for my niece that just had a baby.

  • I breastfed both of my girls but I’d use this as a gift for my girlfriends that are trying to get pregnant.

  • Franshesca ellis

I wish i had the mombo when i had my kids. Breastfeeding is a challenge for me & it is hard to stay relaxed & nurture my baby girl. She is 7 months & I’m holding on strong! Breasfeeding keeps me so close to her with mommy daughter bonding! I love how mombo has the snuggle feature:) I really would love to win the mombo nursing pillow! & I’m positive my daughter would love it too while i breastfeed her:) she is also learning to sit up & the sit up feature on the mombo would really help her with her milestones!! I hope i win <3

  • I never used a nursing pillow but this one looks great.

  • I love that this pillow has the vibrating feature.

  • Look like a great nursing pillow!

  • I’ve never heard of Mombo before. When I was breastfeeding my youngest a couple years ago, all I remember was the Boppy or My Brest Friend. Seems like there’s so many more options now. I’ll have to keep this one in mind when baby arrives in Aug.

  • awww how fun I think he loves it too

  • sandy

I ave friend who is in labor as we speak this would go with- looks amazing

  • Christine Yvonne Groce

My daughter is nursing and I would love to win this for her. Thanks.

  • Tamar

My sister in law stole my nursing pillow and moved out west, so I need to get another one. πŸ™‚ This would be awesome.
