The Sleep Sheep by Cloud b

The Sleep Sheep by Cloud B is the perfect night-time companion to help calm babies to sleep. It offers, through a sound box, the option of four different, soothing “white noise” sounds, including a heartbeat, whale songs, spring showers, and ocean waves (I love the whale songs and ocean waves!). It attaches to the side […]

Hi Penelope!! Thank you for stopping by my blog!!

To join the meme, all you do is share a photo from your pre-digital camera days! Just scan it, and share a memory! It's so fun! We're going way back to even black & white photos. The pictures can be of you, or even your parents when they were kids!! It's really fun to look back!!!

  • Kimmy @ kimmythingy

I love that little sheep! Adorable πŸ™‚

  • Mira is triplet crown

The sheep works but my kids got attached to heartbeat bears instead. More huggable. Your kids will decide what they like despite your best efforts! They do like to play with the buttons on the sheep insert thing though, so it's good for some distraction!

Pregnant Woman’s Helpers 101 – Shopping For New Mom

Being pregnant is a wonderful gift, because I know a little blessing will soon join our family. Nevertheless, I’m on an endless quest for great products that ease the transition for my ever-changing body along this journey. I found a great company, Mambino Organics, that makes a great kit called Bun in the Oven. It […]

  • Mrs. Fish: aka Two Fish

I so love all of this stuff!! I did the expander belt with my oldest, and the Mambino with my twins. I knew that my belly was going to get out of hand so needed to tame it! I so wish I had the popper stopper! That would have been so fabulous, my button was over popped I think!! Dropping in from SITS my fellow SITSa!!

  • J

I love the little belt idea! Great for those first few months when you're too big for your normal stuff but feel silly in maternity wear!

  • ModernMom

Wow! New here but htought I sould comment. My babes are 7 and 10 now and I have to say the products just get better and better every year!
Enjoy every second of your pregnancy..it goes by so fast!

  • Adrienne

I would go look in consignment shops for maternity clothes. I found some really nice clothes that were trend-appropriate. Also, target online usually has good maternity stuff.
And my midwife gave me watermelon seed oil for my perineum to get it ready for birth. Might look into that, too. It really helped.

  • Cascia

Looks like great products! I think I'm a little too far along to try them but thanks for sharing your great finds!

Baby Sleeping Safety

I’ve been spending time lately looking into great products for a baby’s nursery…mainly *safe*, great products. It’s a lot of fun buying cute baby stuff, and as I research more and more (I research everything), I am learning more and more about safety for babies also. I’m concerned about lots of thing- lead in the […]

I used the Halo Swaddle, it's a good product too if you want to try that.

  • Anastasia

I didn't know crib bedding could be a hazard. I bought two sets to alternate, and they both have bumpers, blankets and pillows. This worries me :-/

  • Married life

Speaking as an EMT sometimes SIDS just happens it's very sad but kudos for taking every precaution to keep your baby safe and healthy : )

  • Married life

    Thank you : )

Wow firefighter, EMT and then a cop. Civil Servant must be in his blood lol

    Best Wishes : )

  • Kimberley

    Those sleepblankets are absolutely invaluable!
We purchased one, and then unfortunately our little guy suffered with reflux, so it frequently ended up in the washing machine. The night that we were unable to put him in the sleepblanket, he was much much more restless as he kept kicking the covers off.

    I highly recommend them!
Well done you for researching all of the hazards. x

  • Penelope

Thanks Kim…I'm researching everything regarding this- sleep positioners, safe sheets, etc. We can sleep easier if we know the baby is safe.

Anastasia, some bedding sets are considered "safer", but still potentially a hazard. I feel it's better to be safe than sorry.

  • Penelope

Anonymous, I'm thinking of getting their swaddle, as I'm very happy with the sleeping blanket's quality and safety aspect.

Married life, SIDS probably has many causes and is very sad, but the more I can do to hopefully prevent it…

By the way, thanks for your expert opinion πŸ™‚ I appreciate it.

My Wonderful Husband

I am almost four months pregnant, and I am finally over the tough early months of morning sickness (that lasts all day), being super cautious (my doctor said don’t lift *anything* heavy, don’t eat this, don’t do that), and odd food aversions (I used to love chocolate ice cream, and for months the idea of […]

That's cool that the material is available for free!
I look forward to teaching my daughters (and sons) all the things I had to learn the hard way (after I got married)- cooking, folding laundry, sewing on a button, and even balancing the checkbook…

It's so much easier to learn while you're young and at home rather than waiting until you're married and have no one to teach you.

  • Penelope

Morgan, I plan to teach my sons also…when they are in college, and in life in general, it is great to know sewing and cooking basics at the very least, for anyone.
