Gift Idea: Starbucks In Your Kitchen

The demise of my favorite coffee maker’s contract with StarBucks was a sad day for me, and when I mentioned it on twitter, apparently it was for many. I was able to make an absolutely delicious cup of cappuccino with it at home that tasted better than any I ever got at a restaurant (and […]

  • It looks so sleek. I love Starbucks!

  • OooooOOoOOOo, that’s really nice!

  • Leilani

I didn’t know starbucks made a coffee maker. I should totally get this for my husband for Christmas.

  • This looks amazing and would make the perfect gift for Matt, since our maker just broke.

  • Lucky! I saw these the other day in a Starbucks and was DROOLING!

  • I would die! My husband loves their coffee. We can still find Starbucks from the other brand all over the place and actually I bought a box today. Maybe I should stock up though?

  • That looks like one sleek machine!

  • I need one of these in my life.

  • Now that looks really interesting. I think the hubby is going to want one.

  • sometimes I wonder with all of the delicious flavors coming out in coffee why I dont’ drink it more often

  • That’s very nice!

  • Maryann

first, why did you have to show me this? Secondly my little guys would drink “coffee milk” which was the tiniest bit of coffee in rice milk. They thought it was awesome. We warmed the milk a little and gave them that when we had our coffee. so darn cute.

  • I saw it at BlogHer and was so impressed with it. I like the versatility it offers and the sleek and modern design.

  • ohhh myyy….. I.NEED.THIS! Thanks for the info!

  • I’ve never heard of this machine, but I must have one. Off to find out how much this bad boy is going to cost me.

  • Donna

I would so love one of these!!!

  • Mellisa

What an awesome thing to have in your kitchen! I know what I am asking Santa for this year.

  • I absolutely love coffee and the stronger the better. With a Verismo, I would drink espresso each day just as most drink a cup of coffee. LOVE everything about it!!

  • Billie

Wow, sign me up for one of these. Delicious!

  • Jennifer The Quirky Momma

I saw that in my local Starbucks the other day. I am intrigued with the milk pods. I must see this machine in action.

  • Oh, that would be nice to have in the kitchen!

  • This looks amazing! Maybe it’ll arrive for Christmas if I add it to my list, since I’m the coffee lover in the home! Hope you are all doing okay Penelope!

  • Maureen @ Wisconsin Mommy

Is the milk powdered or liquid? I’ve seen a few other machines that use powdered milk.

  • Penelope

    It’s powdered whole milk.

  • I would love one of these in my kitchen!

  • This would make such a great gift.

  • I really need a good automatic espresso maker. My old manual one is currently stored in the basement. It pulls a great shot & steams beautifully, but what a PITA … lol.

  • This looks like a great Christmas gift – I’d love to receive one of these to enjoy some quality Starbucks cappuccinos at home!

Gift Idea For Kids: Get Your Child A Dog That You’ll Never Have To Walk

Little boys and girls everywhere love puppies, and if they don’t have one they usually wish they did. If you are the mom, you may not want to walk a dog every day, clean up after a dog, feed or bathe the dog, etc (because you know who will be doing these things if you […]

  • This would be perfect, but I’m sure my son would still want the real thing!

  • This is cute, my daughter is off the age now where she just wants a real one, but I’m allergic so she can’t have one. It makes me a little sad.

  • OMG… I want one…lol.

We have a dog, but I think my daughter would get a kick out of this.

  • Jenn

Storm Sandy – The Aftermath

We were told to expect a major storm, and I don’t think anyone believed it. Then Storm Sandy hit New York City on Monday with a fury that was utterly unexpected. We lost electricity, heat, and some of us our cars and homes, and while the winds howled outside madly, shaking and bending sturdy oak […]

  • I am glad you and your family are okay. My heart goes out to all the people that aren’t. I giggled at the governor’s decorations. That is cute.

  • Glad you guys are okay.. It’s so scary. I hated hearing the trees fall 🙁

  • wow, these pictures hurt my heart. Living in Florida I have definitely been through it and it can be very scary and the aftermath is definitely so sad.

  • I’m glad you and your family are safe. It’s been hard watching from the West Coast and feeling helpless. Our thoughts are with you as you begin the process of cleaning and re-building.

  • Jennifer The Quirky Momma

I live on the West Coast, so I’ve never seen a storm like that. The thought terrifies me. My heart goes out to everyone who has suffered because of this storm.

  • THose pictures are intense! So glad you are all okay! Praying you get power back soon. I do like that they decorated the tree – maybe it made someone smile!

  • I’m so glad you are all okay. My heart is just breaking for everyone on the coast.

  • Glad you are okay!

  • I’m so glad you guys made it through ok. Sitting her in Florida all I could say when the news was breaking BEFORE the store is OMG. I don’t get very “nervous” about storms very much. I prepare I watch the news you just kinda know when to worry and when not too when you are use to them.

This one I WAS WORRIED I was worried for every on up North and worried that people would not realize what was getting ready to happen. With a city right on the edge of the water I knew it was not going to be pretty.

Thinking of everyone up there and so glad to know you are ok.

  • I’m so glad your family is okay–I have a lot of friends in New York and the pictures they’ve posted on Facebook are insane. So scary. I hope your electricity and internet are back soon!

  • Wow, all those trees!! I’m glad you and your family were safe!

  • Glad your Family is safe and sound.

  • I’m so glad that you guys made it threw with only a few discomforts. Your mayor is pretty funny.

  • Billie

Wow, I’m just speechless. I’m glad your governor tried to lighten the mood a bit.

  • So glad you are safe!

  • Hurricane are horrible and I hate that anybody has to experience their wrath.

  • I am so glad that you’re okay! I Hope you get electricity back soon!

  • That uprooted tree is unbelievable! I’m sorry you’re having to deal with this but thank goodness you are safe.

  • Mellisa

Oh wow! I am so glad that you all are ok. It’s been a scary sight watching the news and seeing the devastion from this storm.

  • I just donated some money to Red Cross. Horrible!

  • Leilani

Glad you’re all okay. I loved that the governor did that with the fallen tree.

  • Oh wow. I am so glad that you are safe.

  • So glad that you are okay.

  • I’m so glad that you’re safe!

  • Glad to hear your family is safe. This storm was horrible to us..

  • Jenn

Glad ya’ll are alright! It’s so sad to see age-old trees wiped out like that. Yay for a sense of humor though.

  • Ok that is just cute what the governor did to the tree! Glad you’re back with power and that your home was spared. 🙂

  • OH my gosh, that tree!!!! Glad you are all okay.

  • That is just so devastating. I’m appalled at the damage that has occurred and the lack of aid that’s being offered. I’m glad you and your family were safe and that your family and property escaped harm.

  • WOW! Especially on that first picture.

  • It’s months and months later now, and I still wonder what kind of impact Sandy has had on the residents of the East Coast. Are there still people that are waiting for assistance? How is the sea shore. You don’t hear much about it these days anymore.

Spooky Halloween Fun- Beauty, Photography Fun, And Printables, Oh My!

Tomorrow is Halloween, and while I’ve never been big on the more nefarious aspects of the holiday (my ready-for-Halloween parties costume is a mini-skirted Goldilocks, and black cats kind of scare me), I can still appreciate the sillier, fun aspects of the day. So, for fun, I’m sharing some Halloween treats, starting with PicMonkey’s new […]

  • I love PicMonkey – so simple and fun! I find myself using it more than Photoshop these days.

  • Billie

Wow, I love the detail in the nails.

  • Jennifer The Quirky Momma

The Bingo pages would be so fun for my kiddos! It’s very rainy today, so something is telling me that mine won’t last too long outside tonight. Perhaps a game of Bingo is in order!
