We have an angel that lights up. I’m not ready to set up right now. I need to get my daughers’ room cleaned out and set up for baby first.
A star! We just bought a new tree this year too. I love it – it has LED lights and they are so much nicer than the regular bulbs. And yes we have our tree up and decorated already 🙂
HOW SWEET! Sometimes, a nice bow works great on top! A fluffy rounded bow. We’re putting 2 ft trees in the kids rooms this year. We got them on clearance last year, and they’re so excited!!

I have a pre-lit tree with white lights, too. I love angels, which is what tops our tree.

We have a star on ours! I couldn’t imagine my home during the holidays without a tree. My son is grown and I still decorate mine each year.
I think Christmas lights are so magically even for adults.
I am debating putting mine up early. Waiting to see how many people I have coming for Thanksgiving. I get a live one so I still wouldn’t until a couple days before though.
Aww how exciting! We have a star as a topper but I’m not a big fan of the one we have {I’m not entirely sure where it even came from} so we’ll probably be getting a new one this year.
Aw, I love that you already put up your Christmas tree! We always do a tree, sometimes I use our hodge podge of family ornaments collected over the years, and sometimes I use a set of matching ornaments and ribbon. Our tree is pre-wired with lights too, it’s so easy!

I love Pacific chicken broth, and I use it in my crock pot chili verde. Cut a pork tri tip or a pork shoulder into chunks, flour and brown in a little oil. Put in a crock pot, add 1 can large can green sauce, 1/2 carton Pacific chicken broth, 1 onion cut up. Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours. Put on top of rice or inside tortillas!
Just yesterday, I used chicken broth from a carton to make my Potato Leek Soup!
pumpkin puree from a carton, is great to use to make a delicious pumpkin spice smoothie.

I’m with you – given a choice, I prefer the Tetra Pak to a can. One staple we always keep in our pantry is Whole Foods 365 organic vegetable broth (boxed not canned). We use it as a soup base, to cook quinoa (for extra flavor), as liquid in the slow cooker to cook chicken or beef. It is fabulous.
My quick time-saving and water-saving tip for entertaining is to use slow cookers. We have two (and can borrow more). We make one-pot slow cooker dishes like chili, Italian beef, mac and cheese. You only use one pot, so clean up is a breeze, and the food stays hot throughout the party.
We have company all the time, and I plan meals around produce, versus around meats and we always have tons of healthy options! Also, when baking, I use apple sauce instead of oils in cakes!
I use carton chicken broth instead of canned for my yellow split pea soup. I think it just tastes better and of cours, it’s easier to open and store if there’s any leftover.
Create a meal plan. You’ll only buy what you need instead of haphazardly throwing food into the cart with no real plan
We are buying more organic, but probably only about 25% of our food. I’m not sure if I’ve noticed this particular brand at our local grocery store, but I will be on the lookout for it. I like that even the cartons are environmentally friendly.

I have never heard of this brand but will check them out. I love the tetra pack boxes. I use cartons like this all the time for shelf stable milk, broth, soups , juice, coconut water and more:) Your pie sounds delish!
I buy large cartons for more than one recipe. If you plan you can make two or more recipes using one carton of broth, pasta etc.
We have been Pacific soup addicts for a few years now. Their Tomato and Butternut Squash are two of our favorites, and I love that they’re organic!
My family makes a cranberry-orange relish that uses everything except the orange pits and adds only sugar. Smallest amount of waste possible, in my book!
I can make a “carton” spaghetti sauce! I can use Dei Fratelli Truly Finely Chopped Tomatoes that come in a carton. Then add some herbs that I dried from my garden, and some ground beef that we purchase from a friend’s local farm. And if I’m really feeling my inner martha stewart, I’ll make my own pasta from just a little flour, water, and salt!

I’m thinking I almost always buy my soup broth in a carton because it’s a bigger container.
I’m thinking healthier eating these days and that includes cartons instead of cans which can have trace elements of harmful chemicals.
I always use the Pacific chicken broth to make my matzo ball soup.
I like to make bread bowls and add soup! No waste! 🙂
I use chicken broth in carton for my mash potaotes and stuffing recipe.

We like using carton miso broth to make quick noodle tofu soup.
I make a crockpot roast that uses broth from a carton and I actually used this brand last time. Very good!
I take red potatoes and chop in to large pieces and line bottom of large crockpot with those then I added baby carrots. After that, I add fresh garlic cloves to taste, a few bay leaves, all spice (a few hole ones), one large onion chopped into large chunks and then a small carton of beef broth or stock. One top of that, I add one large roast and top that with ground pepper. I cook 8-10 hours on low. Very good!
I use beef broth in a carton to make roast beef.
I make Turkey Tortilla Soup like this:
3 cans of Rotel, 2 cans Mexicorn, 2 can black beans drained, 1/2 pkg taco seasoning, 2 cups leftover shredded turkey & a carton of chicken broth
This uses cartons AND leftover holiday turkey to save waste!
I love to make crockpot chicken and dumpling soup with carton chicken stock, and we eat on it for days with no waste.
I’d make my favorite breakfast recipe using Pacific Foods Organic Pumpkin Puree
Pumpkin Chocolate Chips pancakes:
2 cups baking mix,2 large eggs,1-1/4 cups milk,1/2 cup pumpkin puree, 1/3 cup mini-chocolate chips, 2 tbsp. sugar, 1/2 tsp. cinnamon.
Whisk all the ingredients together and cook until the pancakes are golden brown
Easy and delicious!
I make a curried chicken squash soup with the Pacific butternut squash product. YUM!
I make chicken stew with boxed broth, organic boneless chicken thighs, onions, carrots. It is delicious and healthy
I hollow out wheat bread loaf and put spinach dip in it. You can use the extra bread in stuffing
I just made a pumpkin bread with pumpkin puree in a Tetra Pak carton…first time ever! Turned out great…and I love that I didn’t have to use a can opener.
I love this recipe – looks good. I like to use washable entertaining bowls/dinnerware to reduce waste as well as cloth napkins. I also make muffins with leftover ingredients from my cookie and bread making. thanks for the chance to win.

I make my aunts homemade chicken noodle soup using a farm fresh chicken, veggies like carrots and peas from the garden, and stock from a carton. No matter what I do, it is always good. I love to use carton broth in my soups when cooking!
I keep on hand several of my Wildtree Spices that make quick dips. It’s all natural and helps when I am entertaining. Takes very little time to make and leaves me with more time to visit rather then making foods.
Use left over turkey for sandwiches! I also buy cartons of chicken stocks for soup.
I use carton chicken broth (1 carton) for my chicken and rice recipe! I do the rice (according to the directions on the back), cook the chicken (2 boneless skinless breasts) in the broth for 20 mins. Save a little bit of the broth and pour it in with the rice. Shred the chicken, add it to the rice. Then add diced jalapenos. It is awesome!

Use cartons of chicken soup when making this recipe:
Chicken Soup
4 cups chicken broth
1 tablespoon minced onion
1 package frozen mixed vegetables
2 cooked chicken breasts
2 cups cream of chicken soup
Bring broth and onion to a boil.Add the vegetables and cook for 6 minutes.Stir in chicken and soup and heat through
My favorite recipe to use the Cartons for is my Porkchops and Gravy in the crock pot.
I use the Pacific Natural Foods Organic Cream Of Mushroom Condensed Soup (12 oz).
2 12 oz Pacific Organic Cream of Mushroom Condensed Soup Cartons
4-6 pork chops, boneless (depending on how many people you are serving)
1/2 packet Lipton Onion Soup Mix
1 tbsp dijon mustard
1/2 cup of milk
1. Cook the porkchops fully, browning them in skillet.
2. Place the cooked pork chops on the bottom of the crock pot.
3. Turn to crock pot on high heat.
4. Add in Cream of Mushroom soup cartons, dijon mustard, milk and lipton onion soup mix.
5. Stir mixture.
6. Cook for 4 hours, then serve with mashed potatoes or any other side dish you would like.
I never have liked pork chops, however these are AMAZING! They are not tough, they fall apart, and I would recommend this!! It is SO good!

I do not have stainless steel appliances (I am sad about that! One day I will have them though! I am bidding my time!). But my grandparents do. We live a few doors down from them and so does my cousin and her family. Needless to say, the grandparents have 4 great-grand kids that are constantly touching the fridge, stove, microwave, and dishwasher. I always feel bad when we leave, knowing that they have to deal with all those little smudges. They could definitely use some of this. Heck, I’d even be willing to apply it for them! Our dishwasher is stainless and it gets water spots on it all the time, but we’ve never actually cleaned it! Would love to try this product!
