When You Don’t Know What To Do, There Are Moms You Can Trust

There have been many times I wished there was a baby manual when I first had my son. I couldn’t believe the hospital would just hand me a brand new human being to take home, expecting I knew what to do. The first week, we called my son’s pediatrician twice overnight, and I was an […]

  • What a great resource! I am definitely checking it out- I feel like a first time mom all over again due to the age gap between my kiddos.

  • It’s nice to have community support. Gone are the days of everyone living together and having generations of help readily available.

  • Sounds like a great resource. I’ll have to check it out.

  • I remember reading baby forums all the time when mine were little!

  • I was a young mom who really could have used something like this program.

  • Wow this is so awesome. I think it is great to get the help you are searching for or to just let you know your okay! Great resource for parents!

  • I wish I had had a resource like this available when I was a young mom, I know that I would not have felt so alone and not have messed up nearly as much.

  • I didn’t even have the virtual world until I had my third child. I called my mom and she’s in Canada.

  • Congrats on being a Mom Trust member! We really can’t have enough resources to go to for help with mom stuff ๐Ÿ™‚

  • As someone who moved a lot when my kids were little, I really appreciate that this can be a place to reach out to for support when you may not have anyone nearby.

  • This is a fantastic resource. I will definitely check it out. Even though I have three little ones, I still sometimes feel like I have no idea what i’m doing.

  • Until I became a mom I never realized how it’s possible to never be alone and still be so lonely! Thanks for sharing this resource.

  • Sounds like a fabulous place for new parents. My oldest will be turning 10 this year and I’d still like a parenting manual delivered to my doorstep!

  • What a great resource. Being a new mom can be intimidating, having a program like this sure could help.

  • I’ve so been there. What a great opportunity for you to help out other moms!

  • What a great source of information for moms. I will definitely check it out.

  • Congrats! They sure know how to pick the right moms for the job ๐Ÿ™‚ This sounds like a great resource, one I could have really used when my DD was born!

  • I was very lucky that it all came naturally to me.. we just had a lot of issues with latching in the beginning. I never had that support I wanted though, with my mom being gone and my family being far away it was all me. I was very thankful for the friends on the online ๐Ÿ™‚ Can’t wait to hear more about this program from you!

  • Being a new parent IS scary — I was fortunate to have a mom and mother in law on hand for those first few weeks … can’t imagine doing it along. Congrats on being a panel member — can’t wait to hear what you have to share.

  • Networks like this are so helpful for moms. I need to check it out for some extra online support being a second time mom.

  • Luckily I had 5 days in the hospital with my daughter, due to C-section, before I was on my own. Even then I was so pumped up I didn’t sleep for literally a week. Finally had to get some medication.

  • It is very scary and I was away from all my family when I had my son. I’m very much a person that likes instructions LOL.

  • Sounds like a wonderful resource! I’ll definitely be checking it out!

  • It’s scary when you first have your kids. It’s nice to know there is somewhere to go to get a little advice.

  • A manual would have been super helpful to me as a new parent. Even now I’m constantly seeking the council of women who have been there, done that.

  • How exciting to be a part of this panel. I know when I was a new mom I worried about so much and had so many questions.

  • I have never heard of this program, but it sounds wonderful!

This Is How My Husband Plays PlayStation 3

View full post ยป

  • That is all kinds of adorable! Also thats a great way to get the kiddo to sit still so that you can play ๐Ÿ™‚

  • He must be a little good luck charm for him! ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Funny. That’s pretty much how I blog!

  • This made me smile and reminded me of how my son would do this on my husband’s shoulders when he played the XBox when he was younger. ๐Ÿ™‚ So sweet!

  • Sweet! Reminds me a lot of my daughter and husband when she was this little. Mind you she was a lap sitter not a shoulder sitter ๐Ÿ˜‰ But she’d sit on Daddy’s lap watching him play his computer games and then she started playing herself, and then she decided she wanted to design video games. Watch out (I say that with humor in my voice ;)).

  • Hahha that is beyond cute!!! They both look very focused in the picture ;-)!!

  • Penelope

Your daughter is a video game designer?

  • That’s what she’ll major in at University. She’s still a high school senior graduating this year, but will be a freshman in fall and has been accepted at UTD in their Arts & Technology program for video game design ๐Ÿ™‚

  • This gives a new meaning to double teaming the opponent!

  • Hahaha! That is awesome!

  • Well, if he doesn’t get wiped out with a boy on his head, he knows he has mad skill on the game ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • Ha!! That’s too funny!

  • I can totally relate! That’s usually happening when I’m blogging. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • That’s funny. Your children look like him!

  • Who says men can’t multi-task? ๐Ÿ™‚

  • I think this is an awesome way to play Playstation!!! Love the photo adorable.

  • OMGosh! That’s the cutest photo ever!

  • So cute. That’s definitely the best way to play!

  • Your husband is really into the game! ๐Ÿ™‚

  • LOL the boys and daddy do that at our house tooo but hubby doesn’t play games he’s usually watching tv

  • Lol! That’s awesome that you were able to get such a great shot of that!

  • Ha! Between our cat and the kiddo, my husband definitely gets into some fun positions when he’s trying to play video games or work on his computer.

  • That is adorable! Kids just love spending time with dad. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • LOL Yep, that’s about right.

  • Cracking up! Love it!! Pretty soon your son is going to be playing from on top of him too.

  • That is hilarious and adorable. But yet it’s so true.

  • That is just adorable!

  • Lol, so funny. At least he makes it a family affair.

  • Hahaha, it looks similar in my home ๐Ÿ™‚

  • That’s pretty funny!! I love it!!

  • Haha Love it!

  • This is just too precious! Hubby and M play together and she has her own controller that isn’t plugged in, but she thinks it is.. it’s the cutest. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Penelope

Haha, that is awesome! My husband wants to buy extra controllers and games that allow four players so we can all play (I told him to please get three, and he said no, I have to play too, lol)

  • That’s hilarious! A little father/son bonding time!

  • He’s a great multi-tasker ๐Ÿ™‚

The 2014 Kia Forte

The days of vehicles being not much more than a box that takes you from point A to point B are long gone, and the 2014 Kia Forte EX displays how far cars have come admirably. It’s even more advanced than what was available just ten years ago, and starting at just under $16,000, anyone […]

  • It’s a really cute little car, and I’m with you about all the beeps and warnings. The more protection the better! I don’t mind not having autostart; I live in the South. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • That is a lot of features for such a great price. My daughter misses the heated seats she had in her first car. I would love to go and test drive one.

  • That is super cute and for the price that is very reasonable. Love the blue color, very unique!

  • Oooo. A heated steering wheel. My fingers are always icy so I’d use it in the summer too!

  • That looks like a fun car to drive. I’m driving a 15 year old Honda CR-V and right now we’re always on the lookout for what the new vehicles offer because we know it won’t be long and we’ll have to replace it.

  • Sounds like a great car!

  • I need to test drive a Forte. I love the price tag, and we will be in the market for a new vehicle in the near future. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • I love the color! My old car was that same color! This looks perfect for a second car for us.

  • I really like the Abyss Blue color. What I wouldn’t give for auto start with the cold we are experiencing. I nearly froze my butt off this morning waiting for the car to be warm enough to drive. Brrrrrrrrrrrr!

  • It looks both sporty and comfy… a tough combo to achieve

  • What I would do for keyless entry, heated steering wheel and seats right now. That is a pretty looking car!

  • I wouldn’t be able to fit my family in a car this size, but it looks really nice for people with smaller families. I’m more and more impressed with Kia lately!

  • Penelope

Today was AWFUL! It was about 5 degrees over here, I didn’t even bother bringing my son to school.

  • Kia’s make such good cars. I love the color of it as well. The auto start sounds great too!

  • I really like the sporty look of this car and that blue is gorgeous.

  • The new Forte is beautiful! My Kia’s lights automatically turn off too and I know that feature has saved me countless times. I could certainly use the blind spot signals, which is one extra my Sorento does not have.

  • The color is gorgeous! I really want a Kia.

  • I have never had a Kia, but it sounds like a nice car to have!

  • Kia vehicles have such great price points and really are great cars for the money. We have a Kia van that we have been incredibly happy with for years.

  • That is a great price and looks like a great car.

  • I recently test drove this car and I really loved it!

  • I love all the features it has- and that’s awesome gas mileage- but I can’t get over that color! It’s SO perfect!

  • Oooh – I like the idea of a heated steering wheel. I have heated seats in my car but the steering wheel would be nice too!

  • That dashboard is great and so are all the features.

  • These are such great looking little cars.
