Stylish Girls Need Stylish Band-Aids #StuckonIsaac

This post brought to you by BAND-AIDยฎ Brand. All opinions are 100% mine. I recently received a gift of a “girl’s survival kit” that included pretty adhesive bandages with glitter, chevron, and polkadot patterns. When I cut myself and needed to use one, I found myself actually hesitating because I did’t want to waste the […]

  • These are so cute! It’s a plus when your kid likes using the cool band aids.

  • These are some fabulous band aids. I never thought I would say that sentence ever. lol.

  • These are the cutest, I have the Cynthia Rowley ones now I need these.

  • Band-Aid’s have come so far since I was a kid. These look cool and I can definitely see the younger generation wearing them.

  • No! No one should look forward to a paper cut as those are evil! I agree that a fun Band-Aid can make all the difference though!

  • Penelope

Hahaha, those are pretty bad ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks goodness for less paper and more digital.

  • These are SO cute!! What a cute way to style up a boring owie.

  • Okay, I love this idea! It’s one of those… “Why didn’t I think of that?” kind of things. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • I totally love the girly band-aids so much better than character band-aids.

  • Those are quite fashionable! I remember having some Cynthia Rowley Band-Aids that were similar to these.

  • Those are some chic Band-aids that’s for sure. I always carry a box of them in my purse, these would be better than plain ones or kiddie ones ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • I love these Band-Aids. They have such cute styles nowadays.

  • I took a giant slice out of my Achilles heel area two weeks ago shaving, and man oh man, did that bleed. I had NO bandaids on hand. I’m picking some of these up so when I do get sloppy from shaving, I can at least look stylish while healing.

  • These are adorable! I love to get pretty bandaids for the kids and myself!

  • You can totally spot a mom when you see her character bandages. These are much prettier, and I know the kids would love them too.

  • We go through so many band aids. I think we would go through more if we bought character or pretty ones!

  • These are awesome and perfect for a clutz like myself to have on hand. I think the multi-colored heart print is my favorite of the bunch.

It’s autumn, so my taste buds have been craving flavors with a little more spice. Slow Cooker Chicken Tinga Tacos Recipe

Healthy cooking is important to me, and there are so many tasty foods that are nutritious and good for us that healthy cooking is often more delicious too. High cholesterol tends to run in my family, so I am particularly conscious of creating meals for my family that are lower in fat and cholesterol, such […]

  • This looks so utterly good. I love that the cholesterol level is kept to a minimum as well.

  • This is all really important to me because I have heart disease that runs in the family. It matters what oil I use. PS. The recipe? Incredible!

  • I need to be more thoughtful about cholesterol and how I cook. These look delish.

  • Mmmm, I wish I could have this for dinner tonight!

  • This looks SO easy and SO yummy!:)

  • Those look amazing. So fresh and delicious!

  • My husband just had an ‘abnormal’ EKG reading – since heart disease runs in his family it’s making me more aware of how I’m preparing our food. I’ve always chosen Mazola and now I’m glad!

  • Penelope

I’m sorry to hear that about your husband Tammy ๐Ÿ™

  • I just ate and I would still make room to try this!

  • Delicious! Tacos are my favorite. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • I LOVE tacos! I make them a lot lol. These look really good and I can’t wait to try them. Thanks for the recipe!

  • Those sounds delicious. I only wish I wasn’t allergic to corn!

  • Penelope

Make it without corn tortillas ๐Ÿ™‚

  • I already use Mazola, but I’m definitely going to try this recipe.

  • My avocado tree just exploded with fruit again, and I’m thrilled! I’ve been looking for some yummy new recipes that would go well with avocado. This looks divine! I appreciate that it’s heart-healthy also.

  • Mmm I love these! My father in law swears by Mazola Corn oil for his empanadas!

  • These look so amazing to where I decided to make them tonight! My family is going to be super happy!

  • These sound wonderful and I always appreciate slow cooker recipes since they allow me to get a fresh meal on the table no matter how busy my day.

Potty Training Redux – It’s Time To Enroll In The Academy @PullUpsBigKid

I remember (not so fondly) the struggle of potty training my older son. We were in a mad rush because he couldn’t start nursery school unless he was potty trained. I researched countless ways to do it, and was even virtually scolded by way of an online post that recommended parents start potty training from […]

View full post ยป

  • This sounds like a really great program. Zeva has shown signs a few times and then she backs out of it. I really hope that she gets to the point that she’s ready to do it completely.

  • I’m in the midst of potty training my daughter. I believe that she’ll have it downpat in no time, while my son was 4 before he mastered the potty. I know that all children are different, though. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • These are all fantastic tips. You have to remember to keep a level head, even with set backs.

  • So glad those years are behind me! Great tips and I totally agree with the fact that positive reinforcement and resisting the urge to scold is important to successful potty training.

  • My son was close to three and my daughter was ready right at 2. They are all different that’s for sure!

  • I agree it is all very personal. My oldest son was 3 1/2 before he was trained. But he basically woke up one day and said he was going to go in the potty and it was like night and day. He didn’t even have night time accidents. My daughter seemed to be trained and then my husband and I split up for a little and she back tracked. Then it took us many years before she was able to get through the night she was about 6 before she could get through the night with no accidents.

  • I so remember the potty training days, and I’m so glad they’re over. My kids were all different and it took me awhile to realize that not every kid potty trains the same. My daughters were easy, but my son, not so much.

  • Yes, potty training boys are the worst when it comes to boys.

  • I admit I’m glad that having an only child, I only had to go through potty training once. Our daughter is strong willed and she held out for a long time even though she was ready a lot sooner than she trained. I like that those Pull-Ups have fun designs on them for kids to get them interested in wearing “underwear” instead of diapers – it’s a good first step to the whole potty training journey.

  • Great tiPS! I remember that season. They will all learn how to go eventually. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • I totally agree that you can’t force it before they’re ready. This is one thing they have control over and they know it!

  • Number 2 is so true. You never want to scold and traumatize the child. They may freeze up and shut down and it will only make it harder.

  • Potty training is my least favorite thing about parenting. Having potty trained eight children, I am happy to have those days behind me!

  • Penelope

Woah! EIGHT?? You should write the eBook of all potty training eBooks and get rich ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • Ha ha! Funny thing is, I don’t feel like I have very much advice. Would love to make money doing something like that, probably won’t happen.

  • These are some great potty training tips. My grandson is almost ready to start potty training.

  • So much fun! I believe they all will be potty learned someday… they just need to be ready. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • I’m so glad that’s all behind me (no pun intended). I wish you the best on getting through this without too much stress!

  • My nephew is almost two and a half and has been sporadically using the potty for some time now. I am going to share this information with my sister so she can enroll him and get down to business!
