I’d probably say for my gameboy advance back in the day! Luckily my parents had some around their house somewhere!
We goofed big time last year because we got lots of the perfect gifts for our 3 kids but totally forgot to buy the extra batteries for Christmas morning. This year we bought them early!

When I was a kid I got this perfect puppy that required batteries. It was one of those toy dogs that moved around and you could “walk” it lol. of course my parents didn’t buy the batteries with it! I was heartbroken haha
I have had this happen and it is not good! Now I try to stay stocked up because finding a store that is open and has batteries on Christmas is pretty much impossible. I learned my lesson!

Years ago, I received one of the early handheld video games as a Christmas present, but I didn’t have the batteries to make it work. I couldn’t wait to get the batteries so I could use it.
When I was a kid, I got my first CD player but it didn’t have any batteries. Talk about a major malfunction! It took a couple of hours back then to get ahold of some, and as a kid, the wait seemed like it took days!
I always forgot batteries when I’d purchase toys for my kids for Christmas. It’s just something you don’t think of in the heat of the moment of Christmas shopping! And I never lived it down, either! Haha.
Because of my own childhood experiences, I’ve never forgotten the batteries.
I remember my parents forgot the batteries to some vtech game that I had as a child.
One time I bought my son the cutest electric piano toy and he was so excited to play it, until I realized I forgot to buy batteries! He had to wait until the next day for me to go to the store and buy some. It was such a bummer.

One year my daughter received an electronic toy and the gifter forgot to include batteries. I had to run out at the last minute and purchase them overpriced at my nearest convenience store.
We never have forgotten batteries, everything in our house runs on them so we have a huge supply of them.
So far I haven’t forgotten my batteries, I’ve gotten great Christmas pictures!
I always keep a big stash of batteries around, so that has never been a problem.

Oh yes I have been there, never read the package on whether or not the batteries were included or not. The last time was some awesome remote control truck. Well, he just had to wait a day or two…..
On christmas morning, a few years back I forgot the batteries. My son was not happy that he couldnt try out his new remote control car.
I got my mother a portable radio and she mainly wanted it to take it outside with her. Well wouldn’t you know it, I forgot to get batteries.
We usually tape down a pack of batteries onto the present before we wrap it.
Last Christmas we got my youngest son a remote control tractor. He loves tractors! I forgot to get batteries for Christmas morning, so he wasn’t able to play with it until the next day.
I once gave a friend a Game Boy and a selection of awesome games… But I forgot to include any batteries so it just kind of sat there 🙁
was at my son’s birthday and like i bought everything the toys the cake the ballons the helium the punch the napkins the litle bitty toys to pass around and then most of the toys i got i needed batterys and it was such a heart breaking moment the joy just ended for a moment until someone said ill be back and all was better when he got back with like 50 worth of batterys

One year one of my sons got an RC motorcycle. He was sooo excited to try it out, but when we tried, we discovered that it didn’t come with batteries like most toys. He was so bummed. We didn’t even have the size of battery it needed, so he had to wait until the next day.

I got my nephew the cutest toy car for Christmas and he wanted to play with it so bad but I forgot the batteries! He was only 3 so he didn’t understand, poor guy!
My son begged one year for a very specific remote control car. We had batteries for the car, but forgot the other batteries for the remote and couldn’t find any to steal from another batter powered item in the house. I think we may have scarred him for life 🙂

I remember when I got my absolute must have gift of mall madness when I was a little girl and my parents didn’t have batteries for it so I had to wait until we went to the store. It was like torture!! I still remember it vividly! It’s amazing what kids find life ending! Lol
I gave my granddaughter a barking/talking puppy dog toy and it needed batteries, of course. I forgot to include them in the wrapping and when she opened it and wanted to play with it, no batteries and we weren’t at my house when she got it.
Once, I bought my son this really cool light show toy for his room. I thought I was prepared with 4 C batteries, but NO….I needed 6!! Was a frustrating time for everyone to say the least. Live and learn!

I was so excited to give my daughter a baby doll that crawled and talked years ago . I forgot the batteries and this was when all the stores were closed.

Oh years ago I got my nephews radio controlled snowmobiles for Christmas…as we live where there is lots of snow. Yep…I did! Forgot those batteries! I felt so bad….we ended up going to the gas station and paying a fortune for them! But…now…I always buy the batteries when I buy the gift and tape them to the gift! 🙂

Christmas 2010. I forgot batteries for my daughter’s Barbie Dream house. So nothing worked.
One year my friend had no power at Christmas, so I bought him a battery operated heater.Drove late at night to bring it over, only to have forgotten the batteries at the store at closing time! Spent some minutes just staring at it in the moonlit corner, laughing.
We bought this toy for the boys that came with two little guns that shot laser lights to hit targets as part of the game. They were so excited. Turns out it took 16 batteries to run the thing!!!
I bought my dad some flashlights and forgot all the batteries.
I once bought my brother a great flashlight that had gadgets attached to it. But the batteries that came with it were junk. Fortunately, there were batteries in a drawer and we could see how it worked ok for Christmas. 🙂

I can honestly say that I have never forgotten the batteries! But that’s because I don’t usually give electronic gifts.
I have actually never forgotten batteries! We keep a LOT of them in the house though.

Haha just last year I bought my daughter a keyboard and forgot the batteries. Who knew it took gigantic D batteries. Who keeps those on hand! Not me!

Last year my daughter just had to have a Furreal friend. I finally found the little monkey one last minute & got it wrapped. I forgot the batteries! She opened it up & tried to play with it & it didn’t do a dang thing. She thought it was dead & she just cried & cried. Never again!
I was excited to give my niece her present last year which was a battery operated ferris wheel with tiny dolls that fit in the seats. Only I didn’t realize that the batteries didn’t come with it- so we couldn’t operate it at that time she opened it. I was bummed

A few years ago I bought my girls a princess playschool set with those ponies that walk down the ramp themselves. I had to go to a few different stores to find extra ponies! I was so excited to for them to open and play with it..FORGOT the castle needed battries so no sound. poor kids!
