Jesse Koczon, the 5-year-old YouTube sensation who was devastated to learn he was too small to be governor of New Jersey, was given the chance of his little lifetime when Gov. Chris Christie made him an honorary governor for a day on April 6, even signing a proclamation that made it effective.

Koczon’s video showing him crying went viral last week, and Christie’s response on twitter was “Don’t worry Jesse, people gave plenty of reasons why I couldn’t be Governor, though being too small wasn’t one of them.”
Christie delivered opening remarks before the proclamation signing and gave Jesse’s family a tour of his office. “We thought it would be a nice thing to do to bring them in,” spokesman Kevin Roberts. “It sends a good signal to kids around the state who are public service-minded to keep their dreams alive.”
