Kids Will Do Anything To Stay Up Longer

When it’s bedtime, my kids will do anything to stay up later. They’ll stall, pretend they can’t remember if they brushed their teeth, cry they can’t find their favorite stuffed animal, or beg to watch just one more episode of one of their favorite shows. I’ve heard it all, including some classics like:

1. I can’t sleep until I know daddy is safely home from work.
2. I need to wait up for the Tooth Fairy and see how much she says my tooth is worth.
3. But we didn’t finish building our Lego City, and Lego Spiderman needs it to swing around in.
4. What’s that noise? I think it’s our friends, they are outside waiting to come in for playtime…let’s go open the door! (this one lasted hours, every noise got them jumping up and saying “Someone’s here to visit!” until about 11:30 pm).

Penelope Guzman reasons not to go to bed

I remember being a kid and begging, wishing, procrastinating for another 5 minutes awake, so I get it… and I give in. Because we parents sometimes have these problems, and Netflix wants to give us solutions. What do you do for the kid who wants to stay up just a little bit more, and watch just one more episode?

You put on Dinotrux favorites, 5 minute episodes perfect to appease little procrastinators while still getting them to bed almost on time. Dinotrux, the Netflix Original program for kids that my sons love and watch religiously, is launching a series of 5 minute long Dinotrux favorites… the perfect solution for those nights our kids just won’t stop begging and pleading to watch one more episode (but can’t stay up another half hour)… now it’s easy to oblige and be the awesome parent.

Another brilliant reason why Netflix is pretty much the only thing that’s ever on our TV screen.
