Salmon is a sort of magical fish, with the ability to give you glowing skin and make you look younger. My mom thinks this anyway, and eats it at least twice a week. What I do know for sure is that salmon contains lots of omega-3 fatty acids, which studies show encourage the production of strong collagen and elastin fibers (so maybe it is a sort of fountain of youth), as well as contributing to clear skin and super shiny hair.
Salmon doesn’t just make you prettier- it’s also loaded with protein, Vitamin D and selenium, and has a slew of other health benefits. It’s been called the perfect food…so I guess that is sort of magical.
Here is a dish I love for one of my favorite fish, made one of my favorite ways (baked!):

Baked Lemon Pepper Salmon Recipe
Ingredients
2 salmon fillets
2 tbsps extra virgin olive oil
1 tbs lemon pepper
2 tbs butter
1 clove garlic minced
1 lemon cut into wedges
2 parchment sleeves
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
2. Make a paste with olive oil and lemon pepper and rub onto salmon fillets. Place salmon into parchment sleeves, and into a baking dish.
3. In a small skillet melt butter over low heat and stir in garlic. Pour over salmon in sleeves.
4. Bake fillets for about 20 minutes, until fully brownish pink.
5. Remove from oven and carefully open parchments (steam will rise). Sprinkle with lemon juice and serve with remaining lemon wedges.
Enjoy! If you try my recipe, I’d love to know how it turned out!
