We’ve been doing our laundry with the new Maytag Bravos XL washer and dryer set for about two months now, and it’s unbelievable how much easier it makes life when you have a washer and dryer set in the home, especially a large capacity set that washes and dries larger loads. Suddenly, it doesn’t feel like life is being whiled away in a laundry room, separating and measuring and folding, consuming time that could have been spent in a more meaningful way.

The Maytag Bravos has the performance and versatility to help me with even the most challenging tasks!
My family is reviewing the Maytag Bravos XL large capacity washer and dryer set as brand ambassadors for Maytag, but since these days I’m mainly the laundry person, it’s my time that is being saved, and needless to say, I appreciate that!
Key Points of the Maytag Bravos XL Washer and Dryer:
• Large capacity: 4.6 cu. ft. Bravos XL HE washer and 7.3 cu. ft. high-efficiency dryer.
• Cold Wash Cycle with deep cleaning power that provides the cleaning performance of a warm water wash cycle with the energy savings of cold water.
• Advanced Moisture Sensing technology designed to evenly dry loads to save money and eliminate overdrying and shrinking.
• Uses 76% less water and 78% less energy (Energy Star qualified)
What does all this mean? It means I spend less time doing laundry, and more time with my boys. It means I spend less money buying replacement play clothes, and more money buying things we can really enjoy. Time and money are two very precious commodities to a busy mom, and I love anything that helps me save on either.
When I first started to use the Maytag Bravos XL Washer and Dryer I thought the 76% less water feature wouldn’t wash the clothes as well (I like a great suds and lots of rinsing) but I switched to the Bulky Cycle and found this to be perfect for my larger loads. Having the option of choosing how much water to use in each wash is great, so when you get yours, remember to pick Bulky Cycle if you need more water for a particular load, and Normal Cycle for average loads, to save water and money.
If you have a tough stain, the Cold Wash Cycle features a power clean and slow-motion soak for tougher stains such as chocolate, wine, or dirt, and there are lots of “modifiers” that let you change the temperature, spin, water level, and power of the wash cycle to get your clothes properly cleaned.
The only thing I have trouble with is that the clothes get tangled up while washing (more than they did on any public washer I used in the past), so I have to separate and untangle everything before tossing it all in the dryer. Otherwise, it’s made life easier to have a washer and dryer set in my own home.
Update: The tangling problem continued and at times the clothes became such a bulky, tight knot that the weight would stop the wash cycle mid-cycle. We ask Maytag to pick up the washer and decided to buy ourselves another laundry washer, so the Bravos XL washer did not work out for us as well as we had hoped.

I wrote this post participating in an Maytag Moms Dependable Laundry Ambassador program by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Maytag. I was provided with the Maytag washer and dryer set to facilitate my post.

Look at all of those buttons and dial options.
This set sounds fab. I do a lot of loads on our heavy duty load just to save time plus I only do laundry every other day. Love that I’m saving money and spending way less time doing laundry…my least favorite chore.
Looks so pretty. I love pretty appliances
Beautiful photos and I’m jealous over all of those features!
It’s a gorgeous washer and dryer!! I love the Cold Wash Cycle!
I have to hang up so many of my clothes because our dryer will shrink them. Even jeans and I hate it! My husband can’t even do laundry for fear he’ll dry something he’s not supposed to. It’s so great to know there’s technology available that would eliminate this issue!
Very nice!
These are great features!!!!
I never knew a baby could make so much laundry. I do laundry for her daily. Loveee the pictures
I need one of those! There are 5 guys in this house and I am about to be buried under all the laundry.
These look wonderful.
