A Favorite Thanksgiving Tradition + a Family Getaway Giveaway

This post is sponsored by BabbleBoxx on behalf of Kalahari Resorts

Every Thanksgiving, I watch the Macy’s annual Thanksgiving Day Parade with my boys, and look for our favorite floats. This year, Kalahari Resorts is joining the fun with their inaugural float… yes, that Kalahari, the largest indoor family waterparks (we love the resort in the Poconos, Pennsylvania). We always hope to see our favorite balloons, such as Pikachu, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and Snoopy or Charlie Brown (my favorite since I was little- I love Peanuts!), and enjoy the entertainment with singers and dancers. We usually pop popcorn and sit and enjoy. The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade is the largest parade in the world, and is an almost 100 year tradition (it started it 1924!), and we get up early to make sure we start watching the three hour parade when it starts at 9am. We don’t want to miss anything, and this year the parade has over 50 balloons and inflatables, and 28 floats, 800 clowns, ten marching bands, nine different groups performing, and of course, Santa Claus.

Kalahari is returning to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for the 4th time this year with the “Colossal Wave of Wonder”, a falloon (a float based balloon) that is bigger and better than past years to excite viewers with an entirely new float experience, and we can’t wait to see it! Everyone we know who goes to a Kalahari Waterpark Resort says it’s an amazingly fun, family getaway that keeps everyone entertained and happy the entire time, and visiting during the holiday season sounds extra fun- what an amazing holiday vacation idea! Water slides, raft rides, a lazy river, a wave-simulator so you can surf, water basketball, a chance to become a mermaid, and more, it’s a fun water adventure, so our friends and family tend to return year after year. We watched the parade with some great Kalahari gear, including some snacks, putting us in the mood to cheer on our favorite floats and balloons, as well as think about planning our own family vacation to Kalahari Resort soon.
