How to Remove Lice and Nits with No Fear and No Drama

OMG! Your child has come home school with the lice letter. She has lice! But don’t panic. You can take off the hazmat suit, we’ll get you through this.

In fact, eliminating a lice infestation is a lot less dramatic than you might think. All you have to do is physically remove the lice and nits from the head with the wet combing method. Here’s how it works:

IT’S ALL ABOUT REMOVING THE NITS

When you shop for lice removal products, you’ll probably see many solutions that claim to kill lice. And they do! But they don’t kill nits, and that’s why they don’t work. Nits are the lice eggs and as long as they remain on the head, they will continue to hatch and produce even more lice (yikes!). That’s why physically removing the nits from the head is the ONLY way to eliminate an infestation!

THE TOOLS YOU NEED

The wet combing method is safe, effective, all-natural and simple. All you need is:

Water to keep your child’s hair damp throughout the combing process. Why? Because lice freeze in place when they’re wet, which makes it much easier to capture and remove them.
Conditioner to lubricate the hair, making it easy to comb lice and nits out.
• A Detangler Comb to remove tangles and evenly distribute conditioner throughout the hair.
• A WelComb® to capture and remove lice and nits. It has rigid teeth just the right distance apart that no louse or nit can slip through and a beveled edge that allows you to get right down to the scalp where lice and nits live and hide.

And the best part about the wet combing method? No pesticides, harsh chemicals or ineffective oils are required!

This method is effective, but it certainly takes time and patience. You can find full lice removal instructions including a video in both English and Spanish, at www.welcomb.com/instructions.
