Roasted Brussel Sprouts With Lemon-Infused Olive Oil & Romano Shavings

This is a partnered post

Food lovers appreciate gifts of flavor, whether as the cook or the diner, because having something in the kitchen that can elevate a dish beyond the mundane is a wonderful treat. I recently discovered the Zesty Lemon Lovers Tree Set from Jackson & Perkins, which is not only a wonderful idea for a gift, but helped to upgrade some of my favorite recipes as well with a zing of lemony flavor in the infused olive oil. It comes with a lively little lemon tree that adds some cheer to our home in the midst of a cold autumn, and the set is now my favorite gift idea for anyone who loves to cook at home.

Gourmet gifts are unique (it’s unlikely anyone else got them the same thing), and they are also just so delicious. A good choice for a gourmet gift is something that appeals to many (such as a lemon olive oil and balsamic vinegar… stay away from anything too exotic or that doesn’t please all taste buds, such as a food that is strongly spiced). The Zesty Lemon Lovers Tree gift by Jackson & Perkins is a wonderful gift for foodies, eaties, and homebodies because of the combination of the delicious pair it features- the Meyer Lemon Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar set- as well as a decorative Meyer Lemon tree that adds a freshness to the home for those who love a little green in their decor.

I keep the tree in the kitchen to add some brightness, and have been adding the lemon-infused Extra Virgin Olive Oil in everything. It’s been sprinkled onto veggies, salads, chicken, even used to dunk bread in… everything is better with it! I love the balsamic vinegar for my daily grilled chicken salads, and I’ll add a splash onto various other meals as I’m cooking and feel inspired.

I recently made a delicious grilled brussel sprouts dish that was divine with the Meyer Lemon-Infused Olive Oil sprinkled in, and it’s very easy to make. It’s a great side for your family meals, or as an appetizer during get-togethers during the holidays… I’m sharing it below!

Roasted Brussel Sprouts With Lemon-Infused Olive Oil & Romano Shavings

Ingredients

1 lb (16 oz) brussel sprouts
3 tablespoons Meyer Lemon-Infused Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/2 garlic, finely minced
½ teaspoon sea salt
freshly ground black pepper
Romano cheese, shaved (or cheese of choice)
Additional Meyer Lemon-Infused Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar for dressing

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 400º F.
2. Rinse brussel sprouts and dry off with a paper towel, and remove outer leaves if necessary. Slice brussel sprouts in half and place into a bowl.
3. Sprinkle in Meyer Lemon Olive Oil, garlic, sea salt and pepper, and toss together until brussel sprouts coated.
4. Place brussel sprouts into a baking dish and bake at 400º F for about 30 minutes.
5. Remove from heat, let cool, then dress with additional Lemon Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar to taste, and top with cheese. Serve and enjoy!

I hope you love our Roasted Brussel Sprouts With Lemon-Infused Olive Oil recipe, and you can pick up the Zesty Lemon Lovers Tree gift from Jackson & Perkins here. Last year I gifted gourmet gifts to the administrative staff at my sons’ school, and they loved it so much. I am always happy to receive tasty treats as gifts (really- I don’t want anyone else picking clothes or accessories for me, really, and I just don’t love no-though novelty gifts). This year I think we should spread the word…

give gourmet gifts!
