Join Me In Telling Syria’s Children They’re Not Alone

Every time we turn on the news, we hear about heartbreaking turmoil in Syria, and how hundreds of thousands of refugees are trying to find new homes to save the lives of their families. The conflict has now been raging for five years, and it’s devastating in its aftermath… the result has been the largest refugee crisis since WWII. It can make us feel helpless- what can we do for those thousands upon thousands who left everything they own to run away to safety?

CARE is a global humanitarian organization that fights poverty by empowering girls and women. Last year they helped 90 million people… that amount is hard to imagine when you read it in text like that, but that would be more than 35% of our population in the US… almost one in every three people you see. This is an astounding reach, and CARE is committed to fight poverty, and can do so much more with our help.

Through CARE, we have a way to help Syrian refugees, and show that you stand #WithSyria. With a CARE package, you can help Syrian children suffering from a crisis- food, personal care products, and basic needs are met with small donations. The CARE portal makes it easy to donate whatever you can.

You can also send a letter of support through the CARE Letter Writing Portal, letting them know they aren’t alone and they have support. It takes less than a minute to reach out to Syrian children who feel alone and hungry, and let them know there are people the world who see their struggle, are thinking of them, and praying for them. Just a small online note… selected messages are being translated into Arabic for the children and shared with them (and you can remain anonymous if you choose to).

The stories of the WWII Refugees to Syrian children are heart-breaking, and they are real. Read them here and help with your own Special Delivery of a hand written note.

People with good intentions make promises.

People with good character keep them.

Our family in Syria has been missing, and we don’t know where they are. We would love to bring them here to safety, but until we find them again and can do so, we believe just letting Syrian refugees know we are aware of what is happening, and we care and want to provide some relief, gives them some hope.

Tell Syria’s children they’re not alone, and stand #WithSyria. All letters mean hope, and any donated amount helps!

Thank you to CARE for sponsoring today’s post!
