Family Is What You Make It #StreamTeam

I am a 2015 Netflix partner and share what I’ve been streaming monthly.

Netflix is on our tv throughout the day, and we all have our favorite shows. I’m finding more and more that I really love Netflix Original Programming, so when I heard that a new Netflix Original Series is hitting my screen soon, I knew I had to check it out…especially when I saw that is stars Lily Tomlin. Oh. my. gosh is that woman funny!

Funny New Show For Adults

It’s a modern era, so it’s not unheard of for two 80 year old men to finally come out of the closet and decide they are in love…what makes it particularly unusual is that they happen to be long-time married law partners whose wives had no clue, and who both have to deal with finding out their husband’s have been secretly gay for their 80 year life spans! That is the premise of Grace and Frankie, and it’s awesome.

Maybe it wouldn’t be funny if it happened to you, but it’s funny watching it on Netflix. It’s not kid friendly, so watch it after they go to sleep 😉

Family Movie Now Streaming On Netflix

Kirk Camera is a family kind of guy, but after watching Saving Christmas in the theaters recently, a bit of a disaster, I didn’t have high hopes for Mercy Rule. Still, I was in the mood for something really family friendly, and Mercy Rule was actually really, really good. Dad deals with a financial crisis, son deals with learning to be a good team player, mom tries to support her family and keep everything together, and all in all, totally redeed Cameron…check this one out with your kids!

Favorite New Show For Kids

Do you remember the book “Guess How Much I Love You?“…we have it for our sons…three versions in fact. A hard cover, a board book, and even a book with pop ups of the bunnies stretching out their arms for a hug and jumping up to show how far reaching their love is.

My sons love these books, so when the Adventures of Nutbrown Hare hit the tv on their Netflix Kids section, they wanted to watch. I especially love it because Little Nutbrown’s adventures are with his dad…and I feel like sometimes dads get left out, so seeing a strong and sweet daddy son relationship is awesome. Now that Father’s Day is on its way, I am often reminded of how important dad is.

And each time we watch it, we sing along with h “Guess how much I love you!” Fun family time!

I’ve been so discouraged with the movie selection on Netflix lately, I’m glad to see they are adding new stuff. Now if they would just get the classics!
