A Holiday Tradition Of Sugar Cookies From The Heart

One of the best things about this time of year is reconnecting with people I don’t see often. When we are invited to visit, I love to bring our festive holiday sugar cookies that we started making around the time little man was old enough to help me bake. Now it’s a holiday tradition, with both my boys cracking eggs and mixing batter for us to bake up some yummy cookies to gift to loved ones.

I headed over to Target and picked up Silk Almond Creamer, which is 5% off now with Target Cartwheel. In addition to everything holiday-related Target offers this time of year, it offers lots of festive flavors that are perfect ingredients for favorite recipes or to add to our morning coffee, like Silk creamers, Dunkin’ Donuts creamers, and International Delight creamers.

I usually choose a flavor I’m craving to add to my sugar cookie recipe and fill a basket with my boys to bring on a visit to a neighbor. It’s more personal than buying some cookies, and more tasty because the creamer adds a flavor twist! I always felt homemade gifts were more special, because they take more than money to get…they take thought and time, and our time is really our best gift. I spend time with my sons, I spend time making a gift, and I spend time visiting the person we are gifting. It’s from the heart and it spreads happiness in so many ways.

And sugar cookies are so easy to make, so fun, so tasty, and so seasonal. Add festive flavors give them a remarkable twist, so be sure to make it with a flavor the giftee would love. Do they like Peppermint Mocha, White Chocolate Raspberry, or Frosted Sugar Cookie? Those are festive flavors offered by International Delight! Do they like Almond flavor or soy creamers? Silk offers both Almond Creamer and Soy Creamer! Do they like an extra rich creamer, maybe with some vanilla or caramel? Dunkin’ Donuts Creamers come in Extra Extra, Vanilla and Caramel! Just add it to our easy sugar cookies recipe:
