When I Grow Up…. Beginnings Imagined {Giveaway}

When a child is born, a world of potential is also. It’s amazing how far mankind has come, and how really anything that anyone can imagine is actually possible. Who would have thought, while watching the Captain communicate and look up anything he wanted via a pad-like gadget on Star Trek just fifteen very short years ago, that today we’d all be doing it with tablets?

Anything is possible. And with each new generation, more is becoming a reality, and it’s amazing. I want my sons to become whatever they want to be when they grow up. I am prepared to be the mother of the first Captain of the Star Ship Enterprise, or a man that farms and lives a simple life, as long as he is happy. They have as yet to express any interest in anything specific they’d like to be when they grow up, but along the way, each step of the way, as their minds wander and explore, I’ll be supporting them, letting them know that when it comes to learning, discovery, and creating, there are no limits.

Playtex is introducing Beginnings Imagined, and I’m so excited to help introduce it! Popular children’s illustrator Julie Olson created a work of art of our little one, Spanky (we are Little Rascal fans), that we love:

  • When our daughter was younger she always wanted to be an astronaut. As it happens though she is going into Video Game design at university this fall.

  • Penelope

    My husband wants our sons to design video games, and I want them to be astronauts, so…there seems to be an overlap in those two areas 🙂 Maybe because so much imagination is required to dream about either pathway.

  • This is a great contest! Thanks for sharing.

  • Right now I can see my daughter being an actress or singer…

  • My son wants to be a police officer. 🙂

  • What a really cute giveaway. We don’t have children but if we did I would totally want to win this giveaway!
