When I Grow Up…. Beginnings Imagined {Giveaway}

When a child is born, a world of potential is also. It’s amazing how far mankind has come, and how really anything that anyone can imagine is actually possible. Who would have thought, while watching the Captain communicate and look up anything he wanted via a pad-like gadget on Star Trek just fifteen very short years ago, that today we’d all be doing it with tablets?

Anything is possible. And with each new generation, more is becoming a reality, and it’s amazing. I want my sons to become whatever they want to be when they grow up. I am prepared to be the mother of the first Captain of the Star Ship Enterprise, or a man that farms and lives a simple life, as long as he is happy. They have as yet to express any interest in anything specific they’d like to be when they grow up, but along the way, each step of the way, as their minds wander and explore, I’ll be supporting them, letting them know that when it comes to learning, discovery, and creating, there are no limits.

Playtex is introducing Beginnings Imagined, and I’m so excited to help introduce it! Popular children’s illustrator Julie Olson created a work of art of our little one, Spanky (we are Little Rascal fans), that we love:

>>>Win a Beautiful Illustration and Caption of Your Child By Julie Olsen

A reader can win a customized illustration of their own child, complete with a caption that perfectly captures them. To enter to win, tell me what your child wants to be when they grow up (or if they are too young, what you dreamed about being as a child).

***We invite you to visit Imagined.PlaytexBaby.com and enter to win a $5,000 scholarship toward fulfilling your child’s dreams***

Parents also have the chance to win a grand prize of a $5,000 scholarship towards fulfilling their dreams of their child. Visit imagined.playtexbaby.com, answer a few questions about your child, and submit an image for the chance to win a custom illustration by children’s book author and illustrator, Julie Olson. All illustration winners will then be entered for a grand prize drawing of a $5,000 scholarship! Contest ends July 1, 2014.

I am partnering with Playtex Baby to encourage and support parents…visit the facebook page for more information and tips.

I think my oldest son says he would like to be a vet or fireman…that will probably change tomorrow and the next day ha ha

  • Deirdre

My son is quite the character, so he wants to be a comedian. Thanks for the chance to win such an awesome prize.

  • When our daughter was younger she always wanted to be an astronaut. As it happens though she is going into Video Game design at university this fall.

  • Penelope

My husband wants our sons to design video games, and I want them to be astronauts, so…there seems to be an overlap in those two areas 🙂 Maybe because so much imagination is required to dream about either pathway.

  • This is a great contest! Thanks for sharing.

  • Right now I can see my daughter being an actress or singer…

  • My son wants to be a police officer. 🙂

  • What a really cute giveaway. We don’t have children but if we did I would totally want to win this giveaway!

  • My daughter wants to be a princess veterinarian when she grows up.

  • My son wants to be a writer and artist because he’s good at it.

  • My daughter wants to be a cheerleader/surgeon. Not sure how that’s going to work out!
