What better way to relax, than to have someone else cook and clean up the kitchen? Thanks to great deals I found in Groupon‘s Summer Shop, I’ve been enjoying delicious local food at places I never even knew about (in my own neighborhood!). I don’t know what is better, the great prices, or discovering these nearby treasures that I plan to revisit next time I want a tasty bite.
Last week we popped over to Little Enrico’s Pizzeria for a pizza pie covered in vibrant, fresh sliced peppers. This week we are going to Frank’s Steaks for a delicious steak dinner for four. Tonight we enjoyed an amazing Italian dinner at Carlino’s, where the staff was gracious and the food fantastic. We found a 50% off deal ($50 for our family of four to enjoy a spectacular meal valued at $100) and as you can see, the food at Carlino’s is amazing. The owner stopped by our table several times to chat and make sure we were enjoying ourselves, and the overall atmosphere was so family friendly and cozy- we can’t wait to visit there again!
The deals are usually about half off in the Fresh Eats section, and I’ve been finding them on my phone, often while pulled over trying to decide what we are in the mood to eat. It’s so easy. I scroll down the feed, click on the pic of yummy looking food close to us, click buy, and in less than a minute I get a confirmation that I can go ahead and enjoy my Groupon. What a great way to enjoy our summer!
The boys are enjoying Carlino’s (all three of them)- I don’t know if they liked the food or just spending time together in a family restaurant more, because both made it a wonderful experience…
…and of course, we now finally know how to make sure our kids are well behaved in restaurants!
Since we are on a mission to show we can rock summer as part of Groupons #SummerOfGroupon blogger campaign, in between our escapades we are enjoying this great grub, and we can search for deals in whatever area we plan to be in if some of our adventures take us a little further away (and some will). We needed this. Well, I needed this.
