Summertime is a time of playing outdoors in the hot sun, and my kids are experts at this. Keeping them hydrated while they run around and have fun is important, so I try to always keep water on hand- we don’t keep any soda around. Sometimes my children want something with a bit more flavor though, so we were happy to try a new line of beverages called Vita Coco Kids, all natural flavored coconut water just for kids.

Dehyration is a real risk during the warmer months, and children should be encouraged to drink whether or not they are expressing thirst. An electrolyte imbalance and exhaustion from dehydration is one of the top reasons parents seek medical attention for their children during the summer, so keeping tasty beverages ready is a good idea. Vita Coco Kids is an all natural drink that is packaged for on-the-go, and it’s a good source of vitamin C and potassium (active kids need to have their potassium replenished). It’s a healthy way to keep kids hydrated where ever you are- at camp, in the car, at the beach.
The flavors we tried are Apple Island, Paradise Punch and Very Cherry Beach. They taste great and have no artificial sweeteners. Vita Coco Kids is available at Target and on Amazon for about $4.99 for a six pack of 6 oz drinks, and is a good choice for children 2-8.
Want to try Vita Coco Kids? A reader will be chosen to win a Vita Coco Kids beverage package, with six drinks in the flavors mentioned above, and will be selected from the comments below. Giveaway ends August 12, US only.

Coconut has a lot of health benefits! Great source of Vitamin C, glad they made something like this.. Healthy and ready to go drinks! 🙂
I love the flavors and the packaging very “paradise” like.
Yum! I love Vita Coco pineapple coconut water. Bring it with me to boot camp every Monday!
I’ve never tried coconut water but I’d like to!
I love that these have low sugar content but have no artificial sweeteners
We’ll have to try this!
i’d love to try. how is it different than the adult version?
I don’t think we’ve ever tried coconut water around here, I wonder if my daughter would like it?
It’s definitely important to stay hydrated and this summer has been soooo hot!
I think I’d like the Paradise Punch flavor.
I tried this brand before – love it!
We drink a lot of water during the summer. I rarely keep special drinks (like soda, sweet tea, etc) during the summer because I know that’s the first thing my kids will reach for, so it’s water unless we are having a special occasion.
I had not heard of these before. I need to check them out.
Yum! Looks like a great way to keep the kid drinking this summer!
I bet both of my kids would love this! I’ll have to try it.
I cannot wait to put these in my sons lunch for school!
I’ve only had coconut water once but it was so good.
These look tasty!
He just has the cutest devilish smirk while slurping that down 🙂
These look very refreshing!
Paradise Punch sounds yummy!
My husband loves coconut water, but I am not a fan. I had no idea there was a kids version and I would love to know what my children think!
I haven’t seen these individual ones! I love giving this to my son and he is a big fan too – we also use VitaCoco for smoothie bases! I bet he’d love apple Island!
I think M would be able to have this if we pass coconut! I’d really love to have an option for her beside water and homemade juice since that is actually hard to travel with.
My daughter’s loved all of the Vita Coco flavors! They’re such a great alternative to juice!
