Potty Training At Home And On The Road Made Easier

Little man’s potty training is (for the most part) steadily coming along, and our newest strategy in our battle to train him comes in the form of the Joovy Loo and StepTool. Since the biggest challenge we are currently facing now is getting him to use the potty when we are out and about, we are hoping that the Joovy Loo (which we take along anytime we are out of the house) will help us prevent any backslides.

the joovy loo potty chair

The Joovy Loo is a portable, smooth potty chair that is easy to use and clean (and made easier by the fact I put a plastic cover on it because I don’t relish the idea of cleaning poop out of a potty). It is pretty much one piece except for a removable bowl with splash guard that fits perfectly on top so the potty chair watertight, and there are minimal grooves so nothing gets stuck inside any crevices, for little mess and easy clean-up; a simple design with a non-skid bottom that is PVC and BPA free, so pretty ideal for potty training at home or on the go.

the joovy step stool

The Joovy StepTool step stool is a smart side piece, helping little ones reach the faucet to wash up after using the potty chair. It’s very sturdy, featuring non-skid parts (top and bottom) to keep toddlers steady as they reach the lavatory to wash their hands. The StepTool is also stackable and can hold up to 300 lbs so it’s versatile for use outside the bathroom as well. The two pieces together are less than $60 and are helpful to us as we look for new ways to master potty training our stubborn little guy while we are out of the house as well, so maybe he will in fact be ready for preschool in a few weeks.

As a Joovy Mom Ambassador I am sometimes sent products to review to share with my readers. Opinions are 100% my own.

  • What a great multi-use device!

  • Oh I really like these. Sounds like potty training is going well. Hope they help while he is out, that’s usually the final step with less accidents!

  • April Decheine

Oh that is totally cool, how potty chairs have changed in 20 years 🙂

  • The one thing that stands out to me on that is the non-slip surface. I really like that a lot! I also prefer these simple, sleek designs. No muss, no fuss.

  • Great review!
