Keeping What’s Important In Perspective

If you want to feel rich, just count the things you have that money can’t buy. ~Proverbs

Time is more valuable than money. You can get more money, but you cannot get more time. ~Jim Rohn

You can only become truly accomplished at something you love. Don’t make money your goal. Instead, pursue the things you love doing, and then do them so well that people can’t take their eyes off you. ~Maya Angelou

Formal education will make you a living; self-education will make you a fortune. ~Jim Rohn

What we really want to do is what we are really meant to do. When we do what we are meant to do, money comes to us, doors open for us, we feel useful, and the work we do feels like play to us. ~Julia Cameron

Money often costs too much. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

You have not lived a perfect day, even though you have earned your money, unless you have done something for someone who will never be able to repay you. ~Ruth Smeltzer

Don’t tell me where your priorities are. Show me where you spend your money and I’ll tell you what they are. ~James Frick

If you want to see what God thinks of money, just look at all the people He gave it to. ~Dorothy Parker

Many people take no care of their money till they come nearly to the end of it, and others do just the same with their time. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

The borrower is servant to the lender. ~Proverbs 22:7

Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:19-21

As some who isn’t working for health reasons, I love and appreciate these quotes!

  • Tammy

They say that’s a common reason for marriage to fall apart because of money issues – either the way it is spent or the thought that there “isn’t enough”. Those quotes are great reminders that we can’t be always wanting to amass more and more. Sure money can sometimes make life easier, but it doesn’t make one more happy.

    Those are some great quotes!

I love the quotes from the Bible! I really try to remember that when I feel the wants or feel bad because I can’t go somewhere or do something. It’s not that it’s not possible – it’s that my priorities are in a different place and paying off loans or saving for my daughter’s college fund take priority.

  • I love all these quotes! I used to be in debt terribly. I’ll never go back there and I’m much happier paying cash for everything.

I’m so happy to hear that they helped you…I love to read wise thoughts from others, they inspire me when I’m down.
