When in Boston, do as the Bostonians do. That, of course, means pay homage at Fenway Park, where Boston baseball fans come to worship. While the Red Sox played the Orioles, we had a blast roaming around the streets surrounding Fenway Park, which was set up like a street fair- totally unlike New York sports games, where everything is inside the stadium, and ridiculously priced.
So a Yankees fan and a Mets fan walk into a bar…
We passed by a bar that allowed little man in, and also allowed fans who didn’t have tickets to watch the game while drinking a Guinness and hanging out with their buddies, and it was super cool. I can’t imagine getting free seats to a game simply by paying for a beer at Yankee stadium…they seriously need to take a hint from Fenway and be more generous to their loyal fans.
Everywhere we went, people sported Red Sox gear and paraphernalia, and this group of young gentlemen (seriously sweet and helpful) looked so adorable marching off to support their beloved team:
Finally, our little man, shaking the hand of a young cancer patient who is being patted by his hero, Ted Williams, in this Jimmy Fund statue:
All in all, a wonderful day at Fenway Park with my two men, and another beautiful day in Boston.
