Everyday around noon I put little man into his Britax convertible car seat and drive around until he falls asleep, because it’s the only way to get his to take a nap at a reasonable time each day. If I waited for him to fall asleep on his own, he’d fall asleep at 7 pm and stay up until 3 am, so I need a little help, and aside from driving around in our car, nothing I do can help him nap. His father is another story (he’ll walk back and forth with him for 10 minutes and little man will be knocked out- I don’t have that magic touch).
Our car seat for little man is the Britax Marathon 70 convertible car seat, which is comfy and cute (shown here in the Cowmooflage pattern):
and is designed for children up to 70 lbs, so technically parents can get this one car seat from birth until their children are no longer required to sit in car seats anymore. It’s a large, well-padded, comfortable car seat that was easy for us to install and adjust, and can be forward or rear-facing depending on your baby’s age and needs.
Great Features of the Britax Marathon 70 Convertible Carseat
If you have a messy kid like we do, there is also the option of getting a car seat cover which protects your car seat’s fabric from spills and stains. When he eats, half his food ends up in the crevices of the seat, so a protective cover sounds like something we need to invest in very soon to keep our car seat in tip top shape, and they are available in a variety of colors for either gender, and also to match your car or taste if you have a preference.
The Britax Marathon 70 Convertible Car Seat usually retails for about $289.99 and is available in a variety of patterns. The Britax Marathon 70 car seat featured in this post is the cowmooflage pattern, and is made in the USA with global components. Little man (as you can see) loves it and finds it comfy enough to nap in, and we love it too.

wish i would have gotten this one except arent’ carseats only supposed to be good for 5 years so even though my boys could still be in it weight wise the seat would have reached the end of its life.
I would love to use the Britax when this baby needs to move up!
Violet has always slept the best in the car! She also has a cow-print Marathon, but it’s not the new 70lb model.
I love the car seat!!
I have to drive around with Cakes in a car seat when we’re at my parents house. She does fine at home in her crib but at my parents house she isn’t confined and it’s a nightmare.
Very nice seat! I wish a car ride would put Griffin to sleep, lol.
