Boston photography: a medley of beautiful shots from around Boston, including an example of Boston’s lovely architecture…a lot of buildings are made from carved stones and are simply stunning. Renovations and restorations of historical buildings help maintain the beauty of Boston:
Walking through a Boston park with my family, this view caught my eye- a beautiful gazebo and people strolling around and enjoying the day:
We passed a small area where we found thousands upon thousands of military dog tags strung up, and discovered it was Boston Memorial Garden, which honors fallen soldiers. It was a quiet area, serene and somber, and the attendants simply sat gravely and looked at the multitude of tags that represented souls no longer walking among us:
I love the ads in the T, Boston and Cambridge’s subway system. It just increased my desire to take more Boston photography. They are placed right on the tiled walls, which is so attractive- no posters, and surprisingly, very little graffiti. The advertisements on the subway trains themselves were great also, from researchers looking for war veterans to test out “yoga therapy” on for post traumatic stress disorder (if that works, everyone will be kicking themselves that no one tried it sooner), to a string of men wearing bald caps to honor loved ones fighting cancer. I didn’t want to take pictures on the trains themselves, lest someone though I was a psycho trying to photograph them, so I took a shot of the beautiful tiled ads:
There are many bridges in Boston, but this one was so pretty, the Leonard P. Zakim-Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge:
Of course, my husband wanted us to visit local precincts and fire departments, so we did 😉
And random silliness walking around, a shot with the Laughing Kenny’s (30 Rock fanatics or hired to promote the show, I do not know, but I got a kick out of them):
