WalletBe Men’s Wallets- Review

Many people like to save things. Many people like to save things right in their own purse or wallet…forever. They like to save things just in case they ever might possibly need it. Such people may be called hoarders or packrats, but I like to call them savers (*wink*). The problem gets out of hand, […]

The Flip SideHD Camcorder- Review

One of the most important gadgets parents can own is a camcorder, because there is no better way to catch all those important family moments and baby firsts, to watch years later and live those moments over again. Camcorders can be a bit bulky though, so how often do you think to lug one along? […]

  • Bobbie

What an amazing little gadget!! I would love to have one!!

  • Momstart

I want a flip, I had a vado and it was a piece of junk!

  • JDaniel4's Mom

This sounds great! We have the big palm corder.

  • Alison

I so want one of those!

  • Penelope

Bobbie, it really is amazing. It's so convenient, and easy to follow little man around taping everything he does (my husband's new hobby)

  • Penelope

Momstart, that is awful! I never tried the vado, but I'm glad I tried this one first, because it's terrific.

  • Penelope

JD'sMom, is that a brand? Or the old fashioned kind, lol?

  • Lynsey Jones, The Party Plan Coach

I have a Bloggie and I LOVE it – it is just like a Flip from what I understand. They are truly amazing. I had mine at Easter taking video of my girls hunting eggs. My day said "I remember in 1979 going to Service Merchandise and spending $2,600 on a camcorder that weighed 40 pounds, and had to be plugged in AND a VHS recorder thing over my shoulder" HAHAHAHA My my havent we come a long way!!

Great review, and yes, EVERY mom needs one of these…. maybe get one next week and SWEAR it is a "Father's Day" gift! hahaha

  • Brandy

I have a flip but not the slide, totally cool!! Great review!!!

  • Chelsea

I have a Flip UltraHD, would love to upgrade to the Slide. It looks amazing. Thanks for the review.

  • Frosted Fingers

Very cool! I want to try one of those out!

  • Beeb

I have a Flip, and we love it!

  • Tired Mom Tésa

That's an awesome camera. Your review sold me, it's on my Christmas list!

  • Penelope

    Lynsey, omg at $2,600!!

  • Penelope

Mom Tesa, it's really a gift for the whole family, you won't regret it!

Kindle eReader Review #Technology

I recently had the opportunity to review the Kindle, and I can’t believe how cool these little gadgets are. For anyone who doesn’t know, Kindles are eReaders, portable electronic devices that download and store digital books. You can download books and read them anywhere you go, without having to actually carry lots of heavy books. […]

  • Nina Say

Ooooh! I would love to review ANY e-reader. I love reading!

I am so excited to see your review.

And I also love those Dummy books. I use them for everything!

  • Lady V dZine

It sure would lighten up the load in my travel bag, since I generally have at least 4 books and 4 magazines, plus a puzzle book in there.

  • Momstart

I have the kindle 2 and I love it. It is much faster than the nook. Not sure about the new Sony one though. Should be good, it has a larger touch screen than the nook.

  • Heather!

Got my hubby a Kindle for Christmas this past year, and he LOVES it!! He still raves about it all the time, and he reads a lot more since he got…though he already read a lot. But it makes it so much easier to take a book with him and have something to read while he's waiting for an appointment or something, and is so much lighter and easier to read in bed. Definitely one of the best purchases I've ever made, and worth every penny!

  • *Mirage*

It sounds wonderful! I could never totally replace my paper books though- you just can't beat the smell of a fresh new book and the feel of the crisp new pages in your fingers. *sigh*

  • Penelope

Nina, I took a quick peek at the Nook (and I prefer this one).

  • Penelope

Lady, I am the same way! I bring lots of magazines and books, and I have a million dog-eared books at home. I haven't tried any of the other readers yet (there is a Kobo and Alex) so I can't compare those yet, but the Kindle is awesome.

  • Penelope

Momstart, I didn't know Sony made one too…these are the newest thing, and they are so cool! I can't believe how easy it is to use the Kindle.

    Heather, I'm with your husband!

  • Alison

I love love love my kindle! Hope you are still enjoying it. 🙂

Natural Cleaning Products

Parents who have young children or crawling babies in the house want to make sure everything within reach is safe and non-toxic. Unfortunately, some of the most dangerous items in your home are the products that clean it (oven cleaner is a disaster if it ever gets in the hands of your child). Luckily, you […]

I finally found a great baking soda toothpaste…

  • Anonymous

Great tips! When I make them myself I usually like to dilute some Citra Solv in it, or for particularly hard jobs I use it concentrated.

I also found it was suggested as a natural cleaner on some posts about bringing up a baby in a safe environment so it's just perfect!

I love to clean with natural things! I pour a splash of white vinegar in the dishwasher very last minute before I run it, between filling the soap dispenser and pushing the ON button. 🙂 It works way better at getting rid of cling-ons and watermarks than JetDry! I have tried putting the vinegar in the Jet Dry dispenser in the dishwasher, which still helps with the water spots, but it doesn't power off the stuck on food like adding about 1/4 to 1/2 C. of it at the beginning of the wash does. So now I keep the Jet Dry dispenser full of it AND I add a bit to the beginning of the wash cycle and I've never seen my dishwasher clean so well! Those sippy cups I sometimes find under the couch with a week's worth of sour milk and mold caked inside come out looking sparkly clean and smelling fresh as a daisy!
