Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was a political leader in India during the Indian independence movement, and an ideologist. He was a pioneer of resistance to tyranny through mass civil disobedience, a philosophy founded on total nonviolence. Gandhi quote: I object to violence because when it appears to do good, the good is only temporary; the evil […]
We love Nickelodeon, and Nick Jr has released a slew of fabulous, new, entertaining dvd’s for toddlers and kids this spring. Here are our favorites: The i ♥ iCarly Collection is a collection of 15 episodes about Carly Shay and pals, a group of best friend who created their own hit web show. iCarly is […]

We were waiting for Go Diego Go but it has not made it to us yet, my daughter keeps asking us about it.
-
I may have to give Victorious a chance. We watch iCarly, but have never watched an episode of Victorious.
Kas -

you technically already won a major lottery by being born. You Are Here. The chances of YOU being here were 1 in about 300 million. You have better odds of winning the NY Lottery or MegaMillions. Talk about luck. If your parents had done anything differently- a different day, a different hour, a different position- […]

Wow, those are some odds!
I love reading your blog. I always leave feeling so much better about things….THANKS!
-
Wow, I totally agree Penelope! We are so incredibly blessed in America and don’t even realize it most of the time. We complain about what we don’t have instead of relishing in our piles of blessings!
Thank you for this reminder!
-
These are great things to remember, especially when you’re down.
-
It’s so easy to get caught up in the little things and lose sight of what’s really important.
-
What an inspirational post girlie!!! It is so true, though I do wish to be thinner, at least for our trip to Disneyland next month 🙂
-
It is the most basic thing that we take for granted, I never gave it much thought until now, but you’re so right…
-
Yes, we definitely have to live in the now! I have had a pretty tough year so far, and through it all I keep telling myself that “yes, it could be worse.” We have to enjoy what we do have and focus on the good things in life!
-
I’m a proud Canadian here, but I think what you said applies to us too 🙂
-
You are an inspiration. Thanks for the reminder. 🙂

I actually originally wrote it as US, Canada, and Europe, but I only knew the odds for being born in the US, so I took the other two out 🙂
-
Good reminder to be thankful you are ALIVE!
-
I love this post! You always put a smile on my face that is for sure!
-
Great insight Penelope! I never thought about the odds of being born before. And I do fully appreciate being born in USA, the land of freedom & justice. May she forever stay free!
-
I often think about this and even though there have been rough times in my life (from when I was a child throughout my adult life) I am still very glad that all the things aligned to bring me to the place that I am now. I have the two greatest sons in the world and the sweetest husband anyone could ask for.
I think G-d knew what he was doing when he put my screwed up parents together. Thanks for bringing me back into perspective. Love you!!
HUGGLES. -
You are so awesome! Thanks for reminding me WHY I am a positive person. I have been having some “days” …
-
Wow, that’s a great way to look at life! I never thought of that before, but you are totally right!

We have a great country, and I wanted to share some inspirational quotes about freedom and liberty for those of us proud to celebrate the 4th of July, Independence Day for the USA!
-
I like the unplugging and reconnecting. Even know as I’m typing this I’m watching TV with my mom – we need to spend less time multi-tasking and more time focusing our attention and effort.
-
These are some quotes we need to remember as we celebrate the upcoming holiday. I hope you have a safe and happy 4th also. I laughed when I read your comment about being a young looking mom. I wish that was my picture. I would totally wear that shirt! 🙂
-
Thanks for sharing these quotes!
-
This will be my first Independence Day as an American Citizen – I’m looking forward to celebrating the birthday of this land of liberty and freedom tomorrow!
-
Happy 4th of July!
-
Love the quotes!

I hope you had a fabulous day Penelope! Our church service was so moving!! We had a very heartfelt thank you to our troops. We live 15 minutes from a military base, so there are a lot of military families in my church……not a dry eye in the building.
You wrote a very moving post! Thank you!
-
I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

I hope you had a great 4th!
Thoughtful, well-planned, memorable, and to be honest, pretty hard to top. She is getting someone special. And he? Well, I’m not sure if anyone else caught her grumbling “This better be a good movie” in the beginning when she didn’t realize someone had a reaction cam on her.
-
WOW I don’t even know what to say that is just beyond awesome!
-
I love it!!!
-
Aw this is so heartfelt and creative – I love it! I thought the “Do I have makeup under my eyes?” was a great reaction from her too!
-
That was AMAZING!
-
Totally awesome!
-
That is amazing! Crying now – thanks a lot! Very cool :0)
-
OMG…that was amazing! Why the heck am I crying?!?
-
Awesome 🙂
-
I love this video! I am in tears! That conversation between father and son in law? That was amazing. He seems like a really great guy and she is a very lucky girl. How awesome would it be to be in a theater with all your friends not knowing they were even there and have them all surprise you? It’s a great idea. I hope their wedding is equally epic.
-
That was great! I love hearing peoples proposal stories. I had my wife’s ring custom made. When the jeweler called to let me know it was ready, I used the excuse of going to the store to get dinner to pick it up. Unfortunately, when I came home with no dinner I was suck and ended up proposing in the living room in my pajamas….with no dinner.
-
I’ve seen this before, but I could watch it again and again! LOVE THIS!

Great quote!
