This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of The Home Depot. It’s the first spring in our new home, and my mind is buzzing with all the home projects I have planned. The Home Depot has a huge variety of home improvement products for my DIY projects, starting with one that I […]

  • I started an organic veggie garden last year. Hoping to put another bed in this year, but have a bunch of other projects to finish 1st.. like the big flower bed I dug out this weekend 😛

  • Fun! The boys and I just started a flower garden this year. They wanted to do vegetables, but we will be gone right when the vegetables will be ready, so I told them they had to wait for the fall.

  • This is so cool!

  • Very nice! I can’t wait to plant my garden.

  • I love Home Depot. I would love to have my own garden again.

  • Good luck, I seriously suck at any gardening LOL.

  • We love home depot and plan to start our own garden once we finally buy a house – organic of course! 🙂

  • I can’t wait to get to home depot for landscaping my front yard. As soon as it warms up I have big plans

  • Very cool! I didn’t realize they sold organic starts and mulch. Another reason to visit this week.

  • I wish I would have grew a garden this year. I am jealous.

  • My MIL is supposed to help me start a veggie garden soon. I can’t wait!

  • Hopefully, we will be able to start one this year!

  • I’d love to have a garden one day!

  • How exciting! You’re going to love it. We got some fresh lettuce from some friends that grew it and those leaves lasted forever and never browned, even after a few days in the fridge!

  • That’s so awesome! I wish I could get anything to grow.

  • I’m waiting for our seasons frost to end and I”m out to plant some stuff. I need FRESH veggies and herbs this year for my healthier lifestyle! Gardening with the kids will be so much fun as well:)

  • I would love to start a garden.

  • Donna

I’m going to plant a salsa and salad garden this year. Love Home Depot!

  • Normally I start my plants from seed but this year I’ll have to “cheat” and buy plants. There’s just not enough time with 2 little ones and a work-at-home position. I’m preaching to the choir here though. 😉

  • That sounds wonderful! I hope to get back into gardening sometime.

  • I want to do this, but I have no green thumb. mine is black.

  • We have a few bins just for our greens

  • I’ve never had a garden before, but if I were to start, I’d definitely do the herbs!

  • We’ve purchased some herbs too. I love fresh herbs.

  • I have a patio herb garden but would love to take the next step and plant a salad garden! My yard gets very little sun, so I’ll have to see what works well in low light.

  • We just started our very first, very small (9 plant) organic veggie garden. I’m really hoping at least a few blossom.

  • I would love to do this!

  • It’s delightful having fresh lettuce for a salad. I look forward to it every year.
    Your son is just adorable.

  • Last year I planted tomatoes and white pumpkins. It was so exciting when they begin to grow. This year I didn’t have time to dig a garden but next year I will.

  • How cool would it be to eat a salad from your own backyard?

First off, your son could/should be a model! Handsome! And secondly, this poem is so true. I catch myself from time to time getting upset over a mess and then I think… there will be a time when I wish he were here to make a mess. Okay… now I’m crying. :/

  • Such a sweet post and great photo!

  • That is so sweet! I always try to slow down and enjoy my children!

  • How sweet and it’s paired with a fantastic photo!

  • That is so sweet and really puts these trying years into perspective.

  • So sad and I think about this every day.

  • Oh, I absolutely love this, Penelope!

  • What a beautiful poem and love the photo you attached to it. I know I cherish every moment, cuddle etc with both of my kids.

  • I needed something to make me smile today. Love this!

  • That’s so true, and it happens so fast.

  • Jenn @therebelchick

Aw, what a sweet poem – and little man is so cute!

  • I’ll miss the cuddles the most.

  • This says perfectly what I have been feeling the last few years. My boys are all getting so big now and I just don’t know what to do. That is part of the reason I am taking them on this huge trip this summer. I want to spend every precious moment with them that I can before they are grown and gone.

  • Beautifully done!

  • This is so true. 🙁

  • Love love love this poem and so true! Love how you added it to the photo.

  • Leilani

LOVE this. I think this is why I feel so guilty when I lose my temper with kids. They just grow up too fast.

  • Your son is adorale! I’ve seen this poem many a time – it is a favorite of mine!

  • Penelope

I feel the same way, I want every precious moment…I was just married yesterday, and today I have two sons over one, and the older one is in school! How did this happen so fast?

  • Great pic and words.

  • I love this!

  • … and it seems to happen so fast.

  • That made me tear up.

  • they do grow up way too quickly

  • Totally tearing up. <3

  • Jenn

    I needed this today. Thanks!

  • It warms my heart to know how much you treasure your little guys. 🙂

  • Tammy

My daughter is turning 17 on Thursday – you don’t know how true those words are …sigh…

  • Thank you for the much needed reminder! They grow all too fast.

  • Oh how SWEET is this? Your little guy is absolutely adorable and this poem literally brought tears to my eyes as it is SO true!!

  • such a sweet poem to little one’s

  • They DO grow up so fast. It doesn’t seem like it in the middle of everything, but when you look back, it seems like time just flew by.

  • AWWW love that poem.

  • Wah… this made me cry – so true!

  • What a little cutie!

  • My youngest is growing up too fast.

Moving Soon? Read This

I moved twice in the last year, and it was quite exhausting. What I didn’t have at my disposal, which may have made the moves easier, was a moving services marketplace app that lets you compare prices and read reviews, so I could find a moving service that would do the job right, and for […]

  • Leilani

What a great app. Fortunately for us, my husband has a large family who always lends a helping hand when it comes to moving. Saves us a good chunk of money.

  • This will come in handy if I ever have to move again. Hopefully, that won’t be for a long, long time.

  • LyndaS

That’s pretty neat. I wonder if it works for international moves, too.

  • I have only moved twice…and I hope I never have to again!

  • This would have come in so helpful when I moved into my house.

  • Penelope

No, I think it’s only national right now

  • We’ve lived in our home for almost five years now and don’t plan on moving anytime soon, however, when that time comes, I will absolutely be using a service to help!

  • I need to tell my parents about this!

  • Donna

I’ve moved so many times in my younger years that I’m fine if I never move again (well, maybe one more time into my dream home). If I hear of anyone moving, I’ll be sure to share this with them.

  • ah man! We just moved 2 weeks ago :/ I wish I knew about this app before then.

  • Moving IS exhausting!

  • Sounds like a fantastic App!

  • That’s a great service!

  • Man I wish I would have known about this before I moved!

  • THANK YOU for this! It will come in handy VERY soon!!

  • While we did have a lot of help, I regret not getting mover when we moved. next time!

  • I don’t plan to move for a long time but this sure would come in handy if I did.

  • I have no plans to move anytime soon, but will probably need to use a service next time. Too much stuff & now my friends are too old to be hauling furniture.

  • Tammy

I went to the site to check it out a few months ago since we’re doing a large move soon – I’m having trouble getting my mind wrapped around the figure the “approximated” – a LOT more than I was expecting…sigh….

  • I hate moving but I figure I will need to in the next year or two.

NYC Events: Family Day At Citi Field April 28th- Mets Vs Phillies {Special Offer Tickets}

What’s more fun than going to a baseball game on a warm day with your family? We recently watched the Mets play (and beat!) the Marlins at Citi Field, our first time at the new home of the Mets, and we had a terrific time. Citi Field is beautiful, with a food court/clubs that offer […]

  • That looks like so much fun! My Dad & I used to go to baseball games here {we have a minor league team} when I was a kid.

  • My mom would love this!

  • Citi Field is a great family friendly place!

  • Jenn

Hope ya’ll have lots of fun together!

  • Tammy

I’ve only been to one professional baseball game in my life. The cities I’ve lived in never had a team to cheer on, so it was hard to get into.

  • This is a great family date night! So much fun and bonding moments with our loved ones!

  • Maryann

That looks like a great day.

  • How fun! I need to take my oldest to a game!

  • My husband and I would love to someday visit all the ballparks. This one is on the top of our list!

  • LyndaS

It sure is fun to go to a ball game.

  • What a great deal. It looks like y’all had a blast.

  • Looks like fun! Wish we had something like that around here.

  • Looks like fun!

  • I think that the Florida Marlins have specials like this too, it’s a great idea!

  • I would so be there, we are huge Mets fan.

  • What a great family event!
