| Tassimo T20 Beverage Maker |
I’m a coffee-lover. I drink several cups a day (at least) and I love to try different kinds, at home or at cafes. I recently had the opportunity to try out Tassimo’s newest, compact, space saving T20 model and I love it!
The Tassimo T20 Brewbot is super easy to use, and you can have a delicious cup of cappuccino, a coffee, a latte, anything, in less than two minutes. The display features and on/off button for the Tassimo T20, and a start button- that’s it. The light display lets you know when the machine is ready to brew, is brewing, needs more water, or needs to be cleaned. When you are ready to make a beverage, you turn the Tassimo on, put in your T-disc of choice, put a cup on the stand, and press start.
The T-discs contain everything needed to make your delicious beverage of choice. You pick the T-disc of the beverage you want to drink, and insert it into the T-disc slot, close the cover, and press the start button. The T-discs feature a barcode that tells the Tassimo how much water to use, how long to brew, and at what temperature. There is an over-ride function if you like your coffee extra strong (and want to steep it a bit more), but I love the way the drinks taste as they are programmed, so I didn’t use this feature. There is no need for filters, and the water container (located on the back of the Tassimo T20) holds the water, enough for about 5-7 drinks. It’s easy to remove when you would like to clean it, and it’s easy to fill (a little flip top opens up for you to pour the water in).

The Tassimo T20 allows you to pick from 3 cup sizes. If you would like to use a demi-tasse cup, simply slide the stand into the highest level (this elevates the cup). If you would like to use a large, 16 oz cup, remove the stand altogether. The stand is also easy to clean, and the backsplash is even removable to allow you to change the color. You can pick from a variety of colors (turquoise, yellow, red) to match your decor or mood.

We make coffee in a regular Krups drip coffeemaker. We also make Caramello Lattes using espresso made in a small Bialetti and a manual milk frother. They come out great but it's too time consuming and tedious if we have more than about 4 guests.

I drink my coffee with heavy cream and stevia; I am mindful, however, of the fact that many people prefer skim or whole milk in their coffee and some (like my mom) even prefer the flavored creamers. I have an assortment of all on hand when I have guests.

I currently serve my coffee out of a standard 12-cup coffee pot that my dear friend gave me when my last one quit working..lol. But we like to mix it up a bit, I’ll sometimes make homemade iced coffees and just tried a new recipe for the Starbucks pumpkin latte….we are definately BIG coffee drinkers, probably the #1 drink in our household.
Currently, I have a 12-cup coffee pot and just make a pot of plain old coffee when we’re entertaining guests! 🙁

I would like to try the Milka Hot Chocolate. I haven’t yet found the coffee flavor for me. I am hoping to soon. Maybe if I win this it will help me find the coffee for me. I am trying to win this for hubby. He deserves something this fancy for all he does for our family. he has always gotten the cheap coffee makers since he’s the only one who drinks it in the house, for now at least. Lol. Living in the land of Starbucks, I would have to say the Starbucks Latte Primo, but also the hot chocolate.
I have a Starbucks just down the street, so I often stop in there and get coffee and goodies for friends. I don’t make fancy coffee at home.

All of the t-disks look good, but I would like to try the Gevalia Cappuccino as one of the first t-discs.
Right now I actually have a Keurig brewer that I use to make coffee in the morning and whenever I have company. I want a Tassimo since it can do more than the keurig.
