Cookies = Love #SpreadCheer

This time of year, I feel incredibly cheerful, social, benevolent, giving. It’s so easy to feel happy when surrounded by the crisp cool winter air, a beautiful city with happy, chatty people, and a feeling of general optimism as Christmas approaches.

We are healthy, we are happy, and we have each other. It puts me in the mood to #SpreadCheer everywhere, and what better way to spread cheer than with baskets of cookies from Betty Crocker? And what is more fun, than baking with my boys?

We decided to surprise our neighbors with Betty Crocker sugar cookies! We picked up the Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie mix, spent part of an afternoon making them, and I let my sons pick who would get them. One son picked an elderly gentleman who always engages them and encourages my husband to play with them a lot (my sons hear and love this dude), and my other son picked a man with three teenaged boys of his own that are sporty and love to play with my sons.

My sons brought them over, rang the bell, and ran. They ended up not being home anyway (it was during the day and they were all working), so we left them, but we tied on the gift tags from the Betty Crocker #SpreadCheer site so they know who they are from 🙂 And my sons got a real kick out of leaving “surprises” on their door steps!
