According to an article I read at AOL Health, new studies show that cell phones affect brain activity. It’s undetermined what these effects actually mean, but the first study, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, found that using the cell for 50 minutes was associated with a spike in brain glucose metabolism.
I think this is a non-litigious way of saying cell phones are bad for you, and hurting us. This article hints at the possibility of cell phones being cancerous, or at the very least putting a lot of stress on our brain cells.
I don’t like cell phones, and I also don’t like being kept on hold while using a cell phone (like when I’m waiting to make a doctor’s appointment or calling a customer service number). It just makes me very nervous, thinking about what sitting in front of a laptop and having those wireless internet waves everywhere are doing to me, and to my son. And eReaders. I love them, but I always keep my Kindle offline. All this stuff? Eek, not good.

I always use speaker phone if at all possible. I also do not use a lap top and don’t have a reader yet but will keep that in mind.
I never let this stuff bother me. If I did I’d be worrying about all the food I eat, and other things. I however never use my cell phone so that is good!
Most eReaders can be kept offline, which is what I do with mine.
