It’s the first time we have a Christmas tree in our new home, and as a family at all, so I picked a tall, full, beautiful pre-lit Christmas tree in simple white lights for our family home.
When I was single I had a small two foot tree each year that stood on a table in my small condo, with fiverglass, color-changing lights (it was cool) and it was pre-lit and pre-decorated and just simple and easy. I always wanted a huge tree but never had the room before.
I never decorated for Christmas before Thanksgiving in the past, but when you have cute little kids asking for a Christmas tree (and you are surprised they even know what that is since you never had one before or talked about them)…well, of course you put it up early for them.
And they are mesmerized.
Now I just need to find the perfect topper- a star or an angel?
Aww so adorable.I can’t wait for the day after Thanksgiving:) I had an angel that broke 2 years ago so bought a star, but need to get an angel as I loved it.
We have an angel that lights up. I’m not ready to set up right now. I need to get my daughers’ room cleaned out and set up for baby first.
A star! We just bought a new tree this year too. I love it – it has LED lights and they are so much nicer than the regular bulbs. And yes we have our tree up and decorated already 🙂
HOW SWEET! Sometimes, a nice bow works great on top! A fluffy rounded bow. We’re putting 2 ft trees in the kids rooms this year. We got them on clearance last year, and they’re so excited!!
That is so sweet! It’s also making me want to decorate for the holidays already!
I have a pre-lit tree with white lights, too. I love angels, which is what tops our tree.
He is positively enchanted with it. This makes me smile so much! I’ve always liked stars on trees!
I’m jealous you already have your tree…I haven’t seen any trees for sale here yet (live).
We always get a real one ,although I’d like to get a fake one. Not as much mess.
Mine is artificial, that is why 🙂 It’s too soon to sell live Christmas trees, they will dry up if you get one now
This is the first time in so many years I am decorating without kids living with us, seems so strange!
Aw how fun!!!! We always put stars on the top of our tree’s but I think the Angel is really cute as well!! happy decorating!
Pre-lit trees are the best – I love not having to detangle a mound of cords every year. 🙂
We have a star on ours! I couldn’t imagine my home during the holidays without a tree. My son is grown and I still decorate mine each year.
I think Christmas lights are so magically even for adults.
I am debating putting mine up early. Waiting to see how many people I have coming for Thanksgiving. I get a live one so I still wouldn’t until a couple days before though.
Aww how exciting! We have a star as a topper but I’m not a big fan of the one we have {I’m not entirely sure where it even came from} so we’ll probably be getting a new one this year.
Aw, I love that you already put up your Christmas tree! We always do a tree, sometimes I use our hodge podge of family ornaments collected over the years, and sometimes I use a set of matching ornaments and ribbon. Our tree is pre-wired with lights too, it’s so easy!

Awww! What a sweet little face! So glad you all are enjoying your tree! We bought a pre-lit a few years ago and it makes putting up the tree so much easier! I love an Angel on the top but have seen some beautiful stars as well!

I love how mesmerized he looks! It definitely needs a star on top of it. I wish we could put our tree up, but we are moving the first week in December so it will have to wait. *SIGH*

The lights look totally amazing and I prefer stars for some reason, don’t know why!
We’ve had a star topper since my husband and I started dating. But I definitely want to switch to an angel topper this year.

I know what you mean, the minute I get the Halloween decorations down, they are begging me to put up the Christmas decorations too.
We don’t put our tree up before Thanksgiving and we always use an angel as a topper.
