To My Dear Sons,
Well, things are certainly changing around here. You are both developing habits, unique traits, and wonderful personalities, and I can already see sparks of the men you will be when you grow up. You are both so smart, funny, silly, brave, interesting, curious, and sweet.
I love how the obsession with Angry Birds never ends, instead it’s grown into a desire to have every game, collection, version of the actual birds themselves (plush, miniature, different materials, in cars, what a racket!), and hours spent watching YouTube animations of your favorite characters in action (ps…you LOVE the red bird best). You also love school, you love your teachers, and this month you will be having an Angry Birds themed birthday party, big boy!

And seeing my baby, my little guy want to participate in everything going on, whether we are screwing in a screw, shredding paper, cleaning the floors, anything- you want to do it too! Seeing you load up some of mommy’s shopping bags and just march around the house with them is hysterical, and while I find your ability to always find the phone app on my iPhone a bit annoying (you know what it looks like so no matter what folder I hide it in, you manage to find it and call people at inappropriate times), it’s still pretty funny and amazing that you are that smart and stubborn.

I love you both very much, and can’t wait to start decorating for Christmas together this year!
Love,
Mama
My blogging friends have joined me in a circle to write Letters To Our Sons, and my friend Elizabeth is next in our circle. You can find her letter here.

Such a sweet post to your sons. Those pictures are adorable.
They are so cute Penelope.
We are an Angry Bird family here as well! 🙂 The whole family was so excited to see someone dressed as a Yellow Bird last night during trick or treating. And oh my word your baby! He is so not a baby anymore.
My son has an Angry Bird obsession, too. And, it is funny about the bags… my son when he was young would do the same thing. He would take his suitcase too, and fill it with things and carry it around the house. LOL.
I love this series that you are doing! These letters are just so sweet and the photos are adorable!
I love the idea of writing to our kids. This was so sweet. 🙂
So sweet. You have beautiful children!
I’m cracking up that he keeps calling people. It’s amazing how kids are seemingly born with a knack for technology!
Awww what a sweet post as always to your handsome little guys. I love the photo of him walking with the bags, how cute!
A fledgling shopaholic, too cute 🙂
What a super sweet post!
My youngest was obsessed with angry birds for about a year too, it has since been replaced with plants vs. zombies and now Minecraft, but it was intense while it lasted.
I love that he loves Angry Birds, amazing how things change. So cute.
Such great photos. I think an Angry Bird themed party sounds awesome.
I love the whole Letters to your children idea. Putting up the tree and decorating for Christmas is always filled with wonderful memories for sure!!
My son is on the phone with his Grandparents right now talking about Angry Birds. I love how into it kids at this age are!
My boys love Angry Birds as well. I did an Angry Birds themed party for my son in January when he turned four. Here’s my post about it: http://frostedfingers.com/2013/01/little-man-turned-4-an-angry-birds-party/
I love reading these letters. Your boys are super adorable.
I think smart and stubborn are 2 very good qualities!
I can’t stop laughing at how he insists on finding your phone and calling people. Hilarious! Love your oldest’s Angry Birds excitement!
Ha ha I love the littler man with his shopping bags! I would like to take him with me to the mall 🙂
Lol, he’d love that!
