Dry Winter Skin Help For Eczema Sufferers {Give Away}

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of NEOSPORIN® ESSENTIALS™ for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

My mom is allergic to mangoes, but mangoes are delicious so of course she eats them anyway. Then she gets a rash. This happened again this week, so a NEOSPORIN® ESSENTIALS™ Trial Pack popping up in our mail box was very timely.

I’ve always known Neosporin as the product for boo boos. It encouraged scrapes and abrasions to heal faster and prevented infections. Neosporin now makes a whole line of useful products, including the new Neosporin Essentials for eczema sufferers, or anyone with sensitive, itchy skin (like my mom). And since my brother suffers from eczema, and I have horribly dry skin during the winter, we’d all benefit from this trial size, take-along kit too.

Eczema is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that affects about 35 million Americans. It’s characterized by dry, itchy, red skin and visible skin rash. In a healthy state, the external layer of your skin acts as a protective barrier, but for eczema sufferers, the skin has a deficiency that allows moisture to escape and causes chronic dryness. When skin is dry and unprotected, irritants can reach the sensitive layers below and cause uncomfortable itch flare-ups. People with eczema are more susceptible to irritants or allergens, which trigger inflammation and that results in itching and redness.

In the fall, the stress of going back to school can provoke eczema flare ups. The colder, drier weather and lack of sunlight in the autumn and winter can also contribute to eczema inflammation.

Tips To Manage Eczema In The Fall and Winter

  • Keep seasonal allergies in check with medications such as antihistamines
  • Try to reduce school stress by meeting with teachers early in the year and staying on top of school work
  • Maintain a regular skincare routine, bathe regularly and moisturize; Use topical medication when needed
  • Keep skin warm and protected outdoors with a thick moisturizer
  • Ask your doctor about taking a vitamin D supplement
  • Consider a humidifier in your bedroom if the air in your home is dry

ECZEMA ESSENTIALS™ Daily Moisturizing Cream has been clinically shown to restore visibly healthier skin in 3 days, and can relieve itchy skin due to eczema on contact. It contains colloidal oatmeal, a skin protectant that helps relieve dryness, itch and irritation due to eczema, and is gentle enough for daily use by anyone.

MOISTURE ESSENTIALS™ Daily Body Wash is non-irritating for everyone, even eczema-prone skin, and contains gentle moisturizers for non-drying cleansing for the whole family.

ECZEMA ESSENTIALS™ Hydrocortisone Anti-Itch Cream contains a dual-action formula to provide fast relief of itch flare-ups due to eczema while it moisturizes to restore visibly healthier skin. It contains hydrocortisone, and is clinically proven to reduce redness.

This kit pretty much has us covered…it will help my dry skin, itchy outbreaks for my mom or brother, and the moisturizer will help prevent further dryness and inflammation. For more information, visit the NEOSPORIN® ESSENTIALS™ website and try NEOSPORIN® ESSENTIALS™ for yourself.

    Thanks for the informative post and the giveaway opportunity it comes with. I would love to win as I have had eczema problems for quite some time and now have been diagnosed with a liver disease that causes me a lot of itching in several places but most noticeably in my lower legs and feet.Wow to find some relief via neosporin w/out having to spend my hard earned cash to find out whether it even works or not would be a blessing. I certainly would like to win and would put this product to good use. Also I would post it via my social network and let them know I won and that the product is well worth the purchase.
    Thanks
