There are three dudes in this house, and all are gamers. Since we have both the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, we didn’t need anything else to start using it right out of the box, and they quickly snatched it up in turns, and started to play!
The Turtle Beach Recon 70 headset looks good, it is comfortable, and it plugs right into the controller (or Nintendo Switch console). We love that the 3.5mm connection works with all our systems, so we can just switch back and forth depending on which they feel like playing with. The over-ear premium synthetic leather cushions are both comfortable and great at blocking out external sound, and the 40mm speakers are sharp so sounds both high and low come through crisply. Some of their games involve chatting with other players, and the high-sensitivity mic works well to make sure their pals hear them clearly. If they want to mute themselves, they can just flip up the mic (sort of like hanging up temporarily- really easy and intuitive!). The quality is durable, so perfect for my boys.
