Gifts Ideas We LOVE For Christmas!

It’s only 30 days until Christmas! We love to share just a few items we absolutely adore each year, a curated gift idea guide of items we’d want to get for Christmas ourselves. This year, we discovered three things we found simply delightful, and are pleased to recommend them for those of you who are looking for the perfect gift this holiday season.

2018 Christmas Gift Ideas We Love

1. Maybe it’s because I love to travel and learning about the world. Maybe it’s because this year my older son has been studying geography as well, and asking a lot of questions about different countries and cultures, and I find it endearing that he cares so much about learning about his wonderful planet and all the people on it. I don’t know what made me love this so much, but the GeoSafari Jr. Talking Globe is an incredible gift for kids! It features the voice of Bindi Irwin, and teaches children interesting facts about the various continents, countries, oceans, and people across the globe, including information about nature, animals, important cities, and more. Children point the talking pen to whichever place they are interested in learning about, and find out fun facts.

Every house should have a globe, so why not a globe that teaches you something too? The GeoSafari Jr. Talking Globe sits proudly in our writing room, where the boys do their homework and can just grab it and learn whenever they are in the mood. They treasure this wonderful gift.

3. When I first saw the Precious Moments Advent Calendar, I pictured a daily ritual of adding a new piece to our Nativity daily as we counted down the days of Christmas. I imagined learning about the story of the birth together with my sons, and making it an annual tradition. The final Nativity scene, with adorable Precious Moments figurines, is beautiful, and I also knew I would have to get the Precious Moments Advent Calendar for everyone I know with little kids.

So many of us count down the days until Christmas, but I couldn’t think of a better way to do it when by building up a Nativity with each passing day, and what figurines are more sweet than Precious Moments? Look how beautiful these are! My son are looking forward to the arrival of December 1st to start, but I’ve caught them sneaking and playing with the figures in the meantime. There are many more pieces than shown here, so you can create a backdrop for your Nativity with shepherds, other animals, etc instead of what I created. Thera are 25 carefully crafted figures in all, making it a perfect gift for families with children, as well as anyone who would love a beautiful Nativity on their mantel.

3. As someone who loves to take pictures, the Epson Expression Premium XP-6000 is a sort of necessity. These days, more and more people love photography, and even those that don’t still love family photos, or pictures of trips, scenery, and anything else they snap on their phone or camera as they go on their adventures. This is the printer for people who would love be be able to print their own photos, share them, maybe create photo albums and crafts. The Epson Expression Premium XP-6000 is more compact than a standard printer, a great price, and it prints images from 4×6 to 8×10 right in your home, on demand.

The image quality is gorgeous! Gifting photos has never been easier (though personally, I love to frame and hang up zillions of pictures of my sons, so that is what I have been doing). If you love having photos to display, to share, to save and treasure, you need a great photo printer, and this is it. Seriously, it’s a photo lab in your home!
