A Greener 2015 #3DaystoGreen

by Melanie Walsh

With 2015 now in full swing, I finally had a chance to reflect and write some resolutions. Better late than never, right? One thing that would benefit my family is to increase our fruit & veggies intake.

I use a variety of methods to get my kids to eat healthy. I’ve instructed my kids to “eat their trees” too many times to count. But what I keep coming back to as the most effective ways are having fruits & veggies available and setting a good example.

Currently, middle child is over the moon in love with unicorns. Everything she colors is rainbow striped, and she owns every unicorn plush the internet has to offer. So in our efforts to provide healthy options, we gave ourselves a unicorn lover’s shopping challenge. At our local Whole Foods, we decided to fill our baskets with the colors of the rainbow.

Even before hitting the aisles, I knew what I wanted our green to be. This January, I joined the 3 Days to Green Movement. By drinking on Evolution Fresh green juice once a day for 3 days, I was able to jumpstart my resolutions for 2015.

Each Evolution Fresh is packed with more than a pound of green vegetables and no more than 10 grams of sugar per serving. Flavors include Sweet Greens and Lemon, Essential Greens with Lime, Organic Sweet Greens and Ginger, and Smooth Greens. As a newbie to green juices, the Sweet Greens & Lemon was more my speed, but each flavor was naturally delicious.

After 3 days on my path to green, I feel more resolved in my resolutions. I’m modeling healthy habits for my family, and that feels great. But drinking Evolution Fresh is rewarding in other ways, too. By visiting evolutionfresh.com/3DaystoGreen through February 28th, 2015 you can enter to win prize packs that will make a healthy lifestyle a life-long habit.
