This time of year, I love to cuddle with my boys and read Christmas stories together. I pour each a cup of International Delight Hot Chocolate (a new addition to International Delight’s seasonal offerings) and pop in some marshmallows, and let the boys choose their favorite Christmas books to take under the covers while we snuggle up and read. My older son loves to read, and so I listen while sipping on my egg nog, and my younger son listens too while gazing up at his big brother. And when it’s littler man’s turn, he imitates his older brother. He’ll take his choice of Christmas book, describe what he sees in the pictures, create an imaginary storyline prompted by the book’s illustrations, and pretend that is what he’s reading off the pages… very funny, and I love his little imagination and creativity!
We collect Christmas books now, because we love them so much (as well as favorite Christmas and holiday movies… another good reason to snuggle together!).
