The autumn is full of color, and is one of the most beautiful times of year. Here in New York, the leaves turn the most gorgeous shades of gold, fiery red, and sunset orange. It’s breathtaking, so of course I love to bring some of these colors into my home with some vibrant decorating. I’m a member of Dollar Tree’s Value Seekers Club, where I can find great ideas for diy craft and home decor ideas, as well as recipes and frugal fun, and I was recently perusing their October Ideas.
Each holiday I try to do a bit of decorating myself, and have some creative fun, rather than buy everything ready-made. I feel like it helps me to enjoy the anticipation of the holidays more while surrounding myself with seasonal decorations that make my home more beautiful. I really liked the Value Seekers Club’s idea for floral pumpkins. I found in the October Ideas, and tried to recreate it with my own spin. I stopped by my local Dollar Tree (which was filled to the brim with wonderful supplies) and picked up a bunch for only $1 each:
