The holidays are quickly approaching, and that means an even more expansive to-do list than normal. As I was making my list and checking it twice, I was feeling uninspired as to what to purchase for some of my family and friends.
So I was thrilled to be contacted by Cookies By Design, the original cookie bouquet company. I love having fresh flowers in my home, and quite often do have them delivered for others. Yet, this was a fun and yummy new spin that I knew would make for a sweet surprise.
Perusing the website, I found bouquets offered for many upcoming holidays, including Hanukkah, Christmas, and New Years. I was also able to select the number of cookies I wanted, which meant gift baskets began at $17.99. I selected a basket featuring Santa and other iconic characters. The cookies were baked fresh and hand decorated at each location. Thankfully, they arrived looking just as pictured on the website!
The cookies were displayed beautifully in a plastic vase, with the individual cookie’s packaging adhered to a lollipop stick. Some had fallen off of the stick during transport, but no damage was done to the cookies themselves.
My family and I found the cookies to be quite generous in size. Although they’ve had sufficient training in consuming sweets, each of my children weren’t able to finish them in one sitting. The cookies were also soft (even the remaining one I ate four days after delivery when no one was looking).
The basket I selected, “Merry Christmas”, came packaged with both sugar and cinnamon brown sugar cookies. Both were tasty, but the cinnamon brown sugar won hands down.
