Impossibly Easy Make-Ahead Pizza Bake Recipe #GetYourBettyOn @Bisquick

We recently enjoyed a Cheeseburger Pie Recipe for dinner thanks to an easy, make-ahead recipe from Betty Crocker and Bisquick, and ever since we’ve been trying out a bunch of the fabulous recipes we discovered. Twenty impossibly easy make-ahead recipes for a happier holiday, delicious recipes that you can make in advance so when it’s time to bake, you don’t have to do anything more than pop it in the oven to bake, saving you lots of time when it counts.

This means that when you need wake up Christmas morning for breakfast, or open presents up before dinner, or relax as a family together for desert, you are actually there with your family enjoying these special moments, instead of in the kitchen preparing ingredients and mixing. These make-ahead recipes can be made the day before, so when it’s a special day, you are part of it too, but can still provide your family with a home cooked meal that they’ll love.

Our latest is Impossibly Easy Pizza Bake, and as a family that loves pizza, I knew this would be a hit. What’s not to love…it’s cheesy and pepperoni filled, so everyone is happy!

Directions

1 Heat oven to 375°F. Spray a 13×9-inch baking dish with cooking spray. In medium bowl, stir Bisquick mix and milk until soft dough forms. Drop half of dough by spoonfuls* evenly in bottom of baking dish (dough will not completely cover bottom of dish).

2 Drizzle about 1 cup pizza sauce over dough. Arrange half of the pepperoni slices evenly over sauce. Top with 1 cup of the cheese. Repeat layers with remaining dough, pizza sauce, pepperoni and cheese.

3 Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown, biscuits in center are cooked and cheese in center is bubbly.

You can add your favorite pizza toppings to the layers (I just added lots of extra cheese because I love my pizza super cheesy), but consider olives, peppers, sausage, etc…anything you like! This Impossibly Easy Pizza Bake recipe can be covered and refrigerated up to 24 hours before baking if you aren’t ready to make it now, which is what happened to me. I had about 10 minutes free this morning, and so I put it all together, even though I didn’t need it until dinner time tonight. The problem is, tonight I was so busy I didn’t even have 10 minutes free, so luckily the Pizza Bake was ready to just pop into the oven for 20 minutes! Next time, I’m definitely throwing on lots more toppings too.

What would you rather be doing this holiday season with all your free time? I’d rather be outside watching my kids play…and mow the lawn.
