We were always a LEGO family, and now we actually ARE a LEGO family. LEGO created an online experience where I was able to create my own custom holiday card featuring my family as LEGO Minifigures, and I can even use it as my online Christmas greeting card to share with friends and family online (my son is getting a kick out of that!). How do we look as a LEGO Minifigure Family?
My Minifig’ family was customized to look just like us, with the same skin tone, similar outfits, and we even had a choice of hairstyles and facial expressions to choose from. You can create one for your family also, and it is a lot of fun. You can buid anything with LEGO (have you see those LEGO cities??), and now that includes your own LEGO Minifigure Family.
We were able to choose the background and message, and while I was tempted to choose a fireplace setting (it’s cold in New York now!), we don’t have one and I wanted to make it somewhat realistic, so I chose a lovely family home instead. If I were more daring, I would have chosen the outer space background (and if I weren’t so cold, maybe the igloos).
It was fun to do, and especially fun because I was able to include my boys in the creation process. Ready to have some fun creating your own LEGO Minifigure Family with your kids?
I may have made one of these the other day by myself- I just love making customized stuff! I am going to have my son help me with one too though.

I made one of these and did attempt after attempt with my daughter sitting next to me. I didn’t get it “right” until I made her minifig a Ninja… ! LOL
