Holiday Baking Made Easier and More Rewarding #Bake4Better @Pompeian

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Pompeian Grapeseed Oil Spray.

Tis the season to get baking, and we’ve been having a lot of fun making cookies and pies here (little man loves to whisk eggs). I of course use all natural ingredients in our foods, and was recently introduced to Pompeian Grapeseed Oil Spray as an option for baking, which is made from 100% grapeseed oil imported from France, all natural and with the convenience of a spray.

To celebrate the launch of the new Pompeian Grapeseed Oil Spray and start of the holiday baking season, Pompeian is partnering with Duff Goldman, celebrity pastry chef and executive chef of Charm City Cakes, and together they want to show us how to enhance our recipes this holiday season. Pompeian and Goldman are challenging Americans in the Baking for Better Challenge to better their baking with Pompeian’s Grapeseed Oil Spray, and share their baked creations on instagram with the hashtag #Bake4Better to be entered to win $5,000 donation in the name to their local food bank and a Pompeian gift basket!

Trading in my usual olive oil when I need oil for Pompeian Grapeseed Oil spray makes cooking easier because 1. it has a lighter, milder taste (I love olive oil, but it’s often too strong for baking, not really the best choice, so I try to reserve it for cooking and salads only and use something else for baking), 2. it has a higher smoking point than many other vegetable oils, perfect for when you want to make those popular deep-fried desserts (like deep-fried bananas and ice cream- I don’t know what incredibly imagination thought those up, but they are sinfully good), or simply sauté, grill or stir fry, and 3. having the option of a spray is awesomely convenient!

The Baking for Better Challenge

Until December 6th, consumers can enter the Challenge by following @Pompeian on Instagram, uploading a photo to Instagram showing how they are giving their baked goods a tune up with Grapeseed Oil Spray, using the #Bake4Better hashtag and tagging @Pompeian. Looking for recipe ideas? Check out the Pompeian recipe page.

The most innovative photo taker, who will be crowned by celebrity pastry chef Duff Goldman, will receive a $5,000 donation in the name to their local food bank and a Pompeian gift basket to continue baking better all year long!

  • I’ll have to pick some up just in time for my holiday baking to start.

  • I normally use coconut oil spray, but I just might have to give this a try sometime. 🙂

  • We use a TON in our home, but I don’t know why I didn’t think to bake with it sooner. I’m going to keep this in mind for our annual Bake and Bake, which is a cookie baking fest that goes down in mid December!

  • Can you say YUM OVerload!!!! Looks like some fun baking and lately I have been doing a lot of it. I haven’t tried the Grapeseed Oil Spray, might have to grab one!!

  • Those look amazing and perfect for the upcoming holiday season.

  • Oh I’m so glad I saw this! I’ve been using organic non-stick cooking spray for a few months now but this sounds like a really great option too!

  • I’ve never tried Grapeseed oil. I’ll have to give it a try for this holiday season!

  • I’ve been looking around for this, but haven’t found it in my market yet. I love their regular grape seed oil.

  • Donna

I use grapeseed oil, but I’ve never used it in cooking spray form, before.

  • My husband makes pumpkin and apple pie. He also makes apple crisp. I am going to have to tell him about the grapeseed oil.

  • Grapeseed Oil sounds very interesting and I’m definitely going to check it out!

  • What a great prize! We definitely do more baking this season than any other!

  • I am not generally a baker. We always end up at my moms and she always makes all the goodies.

  • Mickey

I’ve never used Grapeseed Oil, but those all look amazing. I think I need to try it.

  • I’ve never thought to use grapeseed oil spray for baking. I usually rely on canola oil spray but good to see there’s another alternative!

  • I’ll be baking my favorite oatmeal chocolate chip craisin cookies for the Holidays.

  • I am a big “cook with olive oil” fan, but I may give this a try in some of my holiday dishes.

  • I love using grapeseed oil for a carrier for essential oils, but never thought about using it for baking. Those individual pies look so yummy!
