You’ve Been Here Too – Stories From The Bright Side Of Baby Feeding #HFBrightSide

Feeding my sons has always been quite a production, and I’m sure most parents understand exactly what I mean. Little man was not a great eater, and by not a great eater, I mean we were lucky if he ate one meal a day, and it had to be practically force-fed to him bite by bite.

Then we had our second son, who eats very well, and all by himself. I was thrilled. The only problem is, he will only eat by himself, refuses to wear a bib, and he’ll end up wearing a lot of his food by the time he is done. He’ll also decorate our walls and furniture with some of the food for good measure. We are very lucky we chose wipeable paint for our walls.

I can’t complain when I see my son eat, because knowing he is well fed and healthy makes me happy as a mama. I’m also happy that there are so many great options for my sons these days- organic baby foods that are healthy and organic. Happy Family crafts premium, organic meals and snacks for children that nourish and taste good too, such as Happy Puffs, Happy Yogis, and Happy Squeeze.

If you are facing tantrums, thrown food, or picky eaters too, just know we are all there with you, or have been. It helps when there are some funny moments thrown in there too. Recently, I was feeding my baby hard boiled eggs (which he usually loves), and walked away for a moment to clean up. When I came back, I found that he had taken the egg white out of his own mouth, and was trying to feed it to his older brother. I couldn’t stop laughing (even though I had more to clean up, now that there was egg white pieces all over the place).

Here are some blogging moms and dads going through it right now, sharing videos of their own baby feeding adventures, acted out by some fabulous improv actors: Funny Baby Feeding Videos. These are really funny!

  • Both my kids love their pouches. Where can I get some of this washable wall paint?

  • I think those pouches look pretty neat. I would have liked those when my kids were younger.

  • Believe it or not I have teenager that loved this too as well as my youngest

  • Mellisa

    Those pouches are really convenient.

  • My nephew loves his pouches. They are so perfect for an afternoon snack.

  • It’s really kinda cute how different the two of them are! I’m giggling that the littlest is messing everything up though!

  • I babysit my niece and nephew on the weekends (3 and 5 years old). They both love these pouches and it makes things easy on me as well. Win win!

  • I love that they offer organic options where other manufacturers do not. I like knowing my children are eating good food.

  • I remember the days of trying to get my daughter to eat and not throw her food every wear. The idea behind the food in a pouch is genius.

  • Believe it or not, I actually miss those sweet messy moments when my kids were small. They can now clean up their spots, put their dishes in the sink and wash their own hands and faces, so meal times have certainly changed!

  • I love happy family brands! I love that they have toddler products too.

  • I hope we have some more messy moments. Right now we’re pretty messy with berries 🙂 Can’t wait until our foods aren’t so limited.

  • My son wasn’t a great eater either (still isn’t), but my daughter, on the other hand, LOVES to eat.

  • My daughter used to eat some of their products.

  • It’s fun to see the pouches come out and how they make feeding easier. I’ll definitely be using them this time around.

  • Oh, I have definitely been there! My youngest loves fruit pouches, it is the only way he will eat fruit.

  • Those pouches look pretty cool! I wish these were around when my kids were younger.

  • I need to try these for my children. They don’t get enough fruits and veggies.

  • These little pouches make meal time so much more enjoyable and fast than traditional jars.
