the art of listening happy marriage

10 Simple Ways To Surprise Your Spouse

* Bring him breakfast to him in bed to start the day right, especially if he is facing a tough day

* Give her a spontaneous hug or a kiss on the forehead while she is getting ready in the morning

* Thank him for something he did for you recently that you didn’t acknowledge

* Out of the blue, tell her she looks very pretty

* Pat him on the behind or stroke his back as he passes you in the hall

* Plan an unexpected weekday date, and let her know when she gets home from work to get ready for a night of fun! (Plan something she likes)

* Make something he loves for dinner, even if it’s a more complicated dish

* Come home with flowers, for absolutely no reason. Say you saw them and thought of her smile

* After dinner, reach for him and give him a hug without saying anything

* Do a chore she hates, without being asked or letting her know about it (let her find out by surprise)

Now, go do something awesome for your spouse!

I’m proud to say, we do these things on a fairly regular basis. I will have to fix him breakfast in bed some morning during the week, though (I occasionally do it, but only if it’s a weekend). That would definitely surprise him. Oh, he also does breakfast in bed for me, too. 🙂

Surprisingly me and my wife do most of these sweet things on a daily basis but I must say I am a very lucky man and no she is not behind me telling me what to write 🙂 we really do take care of one another because that’s what keeps us young. But truthfully I thank my wife every day for what she does for me and our family and we always teach our kids to appreciate their mother as she is the bond that holds us together. Thanks for sharing this with us, now I think I’ll go and buy my wife some flowers because I really am thinking of her smile.
