I am observing a few days of silence to honor the victims of Sandy Hook.
I will not be online, checking email, taking calls, tweeting, or engaging in any social media.
I’ve spent these last few days contemplating one of the most vile things I have ever heard of, crying endlessly, but I don’t think I will ever be able to wrap my head around the horror of December 14th. I don’t think anyone decent can ever understand pure evil. As a parent, and as a human being, I feel the pain of loss our fellow parents are suffering acutely- something was stolen from all of us in the loss of these most innocent, sweet, and tender-hearted of souls.
I can not fathom the why’s, so I am going to spend the time praying, because I can think of nothing else to do.
