Shutterfly Photography Contest

Photography is my newest hobby, and if you thought I took a lot of photos of my boys before, now that I have my new toy (a dSLR camera and awesome 1.8 lens), you should see my memory discs! And now that summer is here and we are having lots of outdoor fun, I’m taking pictures of everything.

I no longer print photos out like I used to for photos albums, and I’m not really a fan of uploading dozens of photos of my son onto public social networks, so instead, I’ve gotten into the habit of creating photobooks on Shutterfly. Photobooks are a great way to organize and display photos from a specific time or event in our lives, and I have a section of my book shelf where I store all our photobook (about eight so far)…I love taking a peak at them from time to time!

Shutterfly is hosting a Long Live Summer Photo Contest on Facebook that ends August 12th, with a new summer theme each week.

Fancy yourself a good photographer? Have a collection of great summer shots? Why not enter them in this photography contest and find out! To enter, simply upload your favorite photo and caption to fit the week’s theme, and get a gift from Shutterfly just for entering.

Grand Prize: A trip for four to the Bahamas and a Professional Photo Shoot Of Your Trip!

There are also lots of instant win prizes, so visit here to enter! Everyone can enter once a week, and five photos each week will be chosen and featured as photos of the week on the Facebook fan page, as well as awarded a $500 gift card on Shutterfly and a copy of the new Lonely Planet travel photography book.

Weekly photography themes:

Week 1(7/9): Americana
Week 2 (7/16): Great Outdoors
Week 3 (7/23): Water Fun
Week 4 (7/30): Sports & Activities
Week 5 (8/6): Parties & Celebrations

I received a gift from Shutterfly as a thank you for sharing this information. Opinions are my own.
